The worst defense of the now famous, "quid pro quo" phone-call is the focus on the "Whistle Blower." That mainly created the basis of further investigation of whatever was happening regarding Ukraine. The attack on the Whistle-Blower is that the information was actually third party. The further investigation now exposes just how much federal attention was happening: Just to create the smear of a political with misinformation--federally generated.

Third party information was available throughout the federal government, apparently.

So now the attack strategy is to discredit the people creating the apparently elaborate plot.

House GOP looks to protect Trump by raising doubts about motives of his deputies

If the entire federal government, Executive Branch, was in on it: Then it was that deeply motivated with the Executive Branch--creating the phone call request for the phone call: Apparently crafted and known in advance.

And the GOP had no choice but to take the bait, putting Trump on the hook: Easily to be reeled in.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
("L’état, c’est moi(?)!")

LOL

The democrat narrative is collapsing and your witnesses are proven colluders in a Coup D'etat... The proof was just released in an E-Mail chain by a fired ambassador communicating with Schiff's staffer, who is scheduled to appear in Schiff's clown circus...

This thing is blowing up in your faces...

The only allegation of a Coup D'Etat originates from Trump, re; The House Impeachment inquiry. That inquiry, however, originates in the Constitution as a protection of the government, and the people: From the behavior in the "Quid Pro Quo," phone call.

Trend Watch: Trump: 'It Is a Coup' - 10/2/2019 | Merriam-Webster

Witnesses corroborating the blatant Abuse of Power--called for in the House Rules as Constitutionally mandated in the matter of the inquiry--is apart from a sudden arrest and incarceration from within the Executive Branch itself.

And there is no apparent reference, anywhere on the internet, to an email chain from one or more fired Trump Administration appointed ambassadors--in their roles. Those are minutes of the Republican Executive branch,
apparently being enshrined as the New Trump Republican Party.

The matter of it operating via "Coup D'Etat" not even successfully deflect from the Elaborate Planned Abuse of Power.

If truth were told--apart from the Whistle-Blower: Anyone might conclude that the entire US Post Office was in on it(?)!

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
("L’tribe, c’est moi(?)!"

The Desperation... Priceless....

This bomb just exploded in your faces...

How do you like your egg? Poached?

Let the voters decide in 2020 please. No one believes anyone because the media and politicians have lost the trust of the people.

Smears and slants--lies and misinformation--are about the GOP Defense of Trump clearly crumbling. The Whistle-blower--subject of attacks by people like Billy_Bob and Jitss617 posters-The Whistle Blower did not release the White House released parody/edited transcripts.

The other witnesses are confirming federal foreign policy, apparently as some nature of self-aggrandizing campaign conspiracy.

I don't think the WH really has a coordinated or even coherent defense going. Trump may actually be putting the Senate in play, and Moscow Mitch is not saying much. Ms. Graham wants to put Biden under oath, and that goes nowhere. Grassley and Johnson want to investigate the Bidens, but …. does anyone want to seriously have hearings on the SIL and dumber than shit daughter and the two boychinkins?

This whole thing should be a non-story with Trump just picking someone (Rudy or Mack the flack) and saying "it was his idea, I new Nuzzzzing. I'm so embarrassed. It'll never happen again." But dialing anything back is just not Trump. Nunes? Gaetz? Jim "I never wear a suit coat because it hides my manly and soooo heterosexualness" Jeffords? Meanwhile Cheney and Scalise have disappeared. LOL No one of substance wants a piece of this.

I think the gop just wants to get this to the Senate where they can kill it with a one day trial.

And you have all the leaks Schiff wants you to have. Why not let the witnesses be cross examined and see if their stories hold up instead of taking their opening statements as gospel truth?

Law Enforcement Assistance and Cooperation Treaty:
Once again snowflakes - and Democrats - don't want to even mention the existence of this treaty the US has with multiple nations, to include Ukraine, that establishes a process through which nations assist each other in investigating corruption, crimes, and terrorism, a process that is initiated by one leader personally requesting that assistance from the other...which is what President Trump did.

Democrats don't want to mention this treaty at all because if they do they have to address what corruption / crime occurred that the President was asking for help from the Ukraine PM to investigate...and that leads straight to not only former VP Biden and his son but also to HRC and the Democrats in 2016.
- HUNTER BIDEN: More than enough evidence exists to investigate Hunter Biden and his connection to the notorious Ukraine criminal and his corrupt energy company known to have worked with Putin and that stood to gain a great deal from Russia annexing Crimea....which was made a lot easier for Russia by Barry/Biden refusing to provide military aid to Ukraine and not allowing weapons to be sold to them to help them defend themselves from Russia's pending invasion. Biden was not just an employee - he was a BOARD MEMBER....whose daddy was Obama's new Point Man on Ukraine.
- JOE BIDEN: Aside from Biden's personal video-taped confession about how he extorted the former Ukraine PM to get them to fire their lead prosecutor who stated he was about to call Hunter Biden to testify against his criminal boss, we have Biden LYING about how he never knew what his son was up to. 1) There is a photo of VP Biden posing for a picture with his son...and 2 other Ukraine energy company Board Members...2) State Department Officials have stated they warned VP Biden his son's actions (working for the criminal Ukrainian and his corrupt company) was a CONFLICT OF INTEREST since he was the Point Man for Ukraine, especially after reps from the company showed up at the State Dept demanding a meeting with the #3 State Department rep to demand the US pressure the Ukraine PM to end their investigation because the VP's son worked for the company.
- HRC & THE 2016 DEMOCRATS: Evidence shows HRC / the Democrats sent reps to Ukraine to work with corrupt former officials to collet dirt that could be used against Trump and his team, thereby seeking foreign help in interfering in US elections.

This is only ONE of the many items that totally destroys the Democrats false accusations of their 'Collusion Delusion 2.0: Ukraine'.

I don't think the WH really has a coordinated or even coherent defense going.
They don't need one. All they have to do is sit back and let the Trump-hating traitors self-destruct. Yavonovitch was just exposed for having committed Felony Perjury under oath in her false testimony against the President. A real Whistle Blower with actual 1sthand account of anything criminal has NEVER come forward, so other than Trump-hating hearsay they have ZERO.

So the House had no business investigating the foreign policy of the previous administration, lets say in Libya for example?

That will never happen as there was no criminal activity.
There is a political disagreement between The President and the folks that believe themselves to be the deciders of our political direction within our intelligence agencies and The State department.

I agree with you - the House SHOULD investigate why the Nobel Peace Prize Winner pimped out the US military to Al Qaeda - who slaughtered 3,000 Americans on 9/11/01 - to help them murder a sovereign nation's leader, who was helping the Coalition fight terrorists in Northern Africa, and to help Al Qaeda take over Libya for their own!
