GOP chairman ends abortion insurance for employees

Difficult to impregnate someone if you can't get it up. Less impregnations, less potential abortions. Removing cover for viagra therefore lessens the potential need for abortion coverage. Q.E.D.

Getting a stiffy does not equate to the killing of a developing human

but nice try

That might be remotely relevant if anything resembling that point had been advanced. Did you see it?

Nope. And I was just joking.

I think DD's having a bad morning.

During the erection, John McCain was asked about his support in covering Viagra and not birth control, which is more expensive.

His answer was that "birth control" is a "lifestyle choice" and Viagra is administered for a "medical condition". Only he didn't call it "lackaboner". By the way, this is a true story.

Now, the question that needs to be asked, since the "do as I say and not as I do" Republicans have offered abortion services all along to the employees of the Republican Party, how many actually got abortions?

Have you ever noticed how easy it is for Republicans to talk the talk?

Some talking points:

Abortion services offered, but denied to the rest of the country.

They want mysticism taught in public schools as equal to science, but want to send their children to private schools that would never teach such nonsense.

They scream for more troops for Afghanistan, but few actually enlist or volenteer to go.

I don't remember the actual numbers, but I know that blacks make up a far larger portion of the military than their meager numbers in the general population. Yet Republicans have few blacks in their party and want to send them out to fight for "Republican" freedom.

Republicans are suddenly awash with health care plans and military strategy, but had none for the last eight years.

So you think that the GOP chairman's stance is correct, presumably?

well dd...dont you find it odd that insurance will cover viagria but not birth control pills? i do

I don't know what you are talking about...but every carrier I have had ( Vista, Humana and now United Health) has covered my wifes birth control pills. She pays 10 bucks a month for them

Yes.. when they tried to equate the inclusion of viagara to the elimination of abortion in terms of what the policy paid for or subsidized by the employer, will offer... not to mention that the further reply implied getting less stiffies by excluding viagara from insurance coverage would lead to less impregnations, hence lessening need for abortion coverage.. and with abortion being the killing of a developing human... the point was made and replied to

If you don't think that is exactly what Ravi was trying to get at with the original viagara comment.. then you are incredibly stupid

I could well be incredibly stupid - but you're going to have to come up with more evidence than that

WASHINGTON – A chagrined GOP Chairman Michael Steele has told Republican National Committee staff to immediately stop providing RNC employees with insurance for elective abortions — an option that Republicans strongly oppose as Democrats try to pass a health care overhaul bill.

"Money from our loyal donors should not be used for this purpose," Steele said in a statement late Thursday after learning of the abortion coverage from a news report. "I don't know why this policy existed in the past, but it will not exist under my administration. Consider this issue settled."

Steele instructed staff to inform the insurance carrier that the RNC wanted to opt out of elective abortion coverage, RNC spokeswoman Gail Gitcho said. She said the policy has been in effect since 1991.
