In the same way that many right wing politicians "accuse" Obama of not wanting to you certain terms when linking terrorism to Islam, these same politicians are afraid of the ire from the NRA in openly stating that any individual who is suspected of terrorist plotting should NOT be allowed to buy automatic weapons or explosive materials.

Whereas Obama does not (rightfully) want us to offend the 1.8 billion Muslims on this planet by tacitly stating that terrorists acts are inspired just by religiosity, GOP candidates are reluctant to "offend" the insanity posed by the powerful NRA lobby in denying ANYONE the right to buy weapons whose only purpose is to kill other human beings..........Go figure.

How many card carrying members of the NRA have committed terrorism? You're dismissed

Interesting......So, if a terrorist simply pays his dues to the NRA, morons like you would fully support him?

The intent of the O/P is to point out that after several attempts to get an answer from GOP candidates, not one of them would openly state that gun sales to individuals suspected of possible terrorist leanings should be BANNED because the NRA "rules" the GOP..

SUSPECTED , you mean that they haven't committed a crime but are SUSPECTED of committing a crime . And because of that unproven suspect status you want to punish them Nat ??

Who gets to decide who is "suspected" of plotting terrorism?

So some bureaucrat gets to decide who loses their 2nd amendment rights with no charges, or conviction?

The National Rifle Association which opposed previous bills, argued that the watchlist is too broad because it includes people who are still being investigated by authorities,” ABC News reports.

Simple enough, tighten the law to those that have been investigated and placed on the list, banning someone w/o being placed on it isn't fair, they haven't been found guilty of anything

Any different than "some [right wing] bureaucrat" deciding that all Syrian refugees may be terrorists?

maybe some day Nat will understand 'innocent until proven guilty' in our American / English style laws and traditions . Sounds like Nat want to go Napoleonic style law of 'guilty until proven innocent' ehh Nat .

It's ISIS, not ISIL. You don't have to polish every obama turd you can find. No, the GOP isn't afraid of the NRA, they are quite happy to have them around. You, like ALL liberals, are totally full of shit.

Has anyone even vaguely suggested that all Syrian refugees may be terrorists? I'm sure no one believes anything like that. But what I believe, and I'm sure many others believe, is all it takes are a few.

What happens when a few dozen of those refugees get pissed off at living conditions in the U.S. and start listening to the "Allahu Akhbar" boys?

I see. So when we violate their Constitutional rights of equal justice, liberals go bonkers, but when you want to deny them of their Constitutional right of firearms, that's wrong.

Foreigners either have Constitutional rights or they don't. Liberals can't pick and choose which ones they can have.
