I think this guy is just as disgusting on the radical Right, as similar loosening of moral fact is on the radical Left. Mr. Saari's tweet is inexcusable. With three nieces under age twenty there's no way I personally could condone or support his words. And lastly, he does not speak collectively for either Christianity or belief in God; this guy speaks only for himself.

Interesting, but yet many Christians and Evangelicals support Trump. How do they rationalize that?

Every person who voted for Roy Moore is a Christian who thinks age of consent should be lowered to 12? Moore himself wasn't even accused of sexual misconduct with a 12 year old, I don't think; the youngest accuser was 14 if I remember correctly. I also don't remember Moore excusing his behavior based on the Bible, not that I'd have been shocked if he did.

Not everyone can remember that 1983 scandal- 35 years ago.

Pedophile? Studds was never convicted of anything- he was censored for having sex with a 17 year old page- where the age of consent was 16.

So no 'pedophile'- but certainly a politician that would never be elected today.

Now I drive past Arcadia high school in Phoenix and the ones that age still look like children.

'females matured faster'- no actually what happened is that 12 and 13 year olds did have babies- and lots of the 12 and 13 year olds died because they were really not fully mature yet.
