The 72 (75) UN Peacekeepers who were sourrounded by FSA/Al-Nusra are in safety. No details were provided.

Another group of 40 Peacekeepers managed to escape overnight after a seven hour battle with about 100 Al-Nusra fighters. The escape succeeded with the help of the SAA and the IDF.

Further 32 Peacekeepers who escaped from a two day siege with the help of the UNDOF monitoring group, are in savety.

Another group of 44 Peacekeepers is still held captive. Al-Nusra accuses the group of support of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
