Now we do know that the Maunder Minimum occurred at the same time as the Little Ice Age. And that we have seen a minor dip in the TSI recently. However, that dip doesn't seem to have had much effect as that last ten years have seen 4 of the 5 warmest years on record. And there were those predicting that this sun spot cycle would be the start of a deep cooling trend. Looks to me as if they have merely moved the target out 15 years so they can state that there is no reason for worry about the amount of GHGs in the atmosphere.
