Ironically, the best way for Republicans to score a landslide victory is to let Democrats control both house of Congress as well as the Presidency. It happened in 1980, 1994 and 2010. As a result, it might be better for the GOP to lose the House in 2014, thereby setting the stage for taking control in 2016 and implementing permanent fiscal reforms.

The only question is whether it is already too late...:doubt:

Like it or not, we are going to have a Democratic President and Senate until after the 2016 elections. Between now and then, adding a couple of trillion dollars to the national debt isn't going to make that much difference. The only chance for the GOP to reverse this course is to win the Presidency and both houses of Congress in 2016. In order for that to happen, the voters have to be reminded of what happens when the Democrats get what they want.
