Finally a GOP candidate says it. Of course Newt Gingrich will probably be called bombastic for saying it but it needed to be stated.

    FAST & FURIOUS:
    Question:
Why on earth would the ATF--under the direction of the U.S. Justice Department- lead by Eric Holder AG of the United States--let walk 2000 semi-automatic weapons into the hands of violent Mexican Drug Cartels?

    a. To help the Mexican police and miltia fight the Mexican drug cartels?
    b. To track these weapons even though they had no tracking device in them?
    c. To set precedence in the United States for tighter gun control--and the banning of semi-automatic weapons?

    Finally Newt Gingrich says it:

There can simply be no other rational explanation for Fast and Furious. What Eric Holder didn't count on was a US border patrol agent getting killed by one of these weapons and 3 very brave ATF agents outing his justice department on this program. Unfortunately there are still 1400 weapons out there--and only God knows how many people these guns have killed.

    That's the ticket.

You guys should keep running with "THEY'RE COMING TO TAKE OUR GUNS".

That talking point has had a pretty good success rate so far, right?

Right after Obama was elected--gun sales sky-rocketed and you couldn't even find ammunition--(all sold out)--and yes it was Obama and Eric Holder that devised this Fast and Furious program--letting walk 2000 semi-automatic weapons into the hands of violent Mexican drug cartels--so that they could say--see look at how many people these guns have killed--time to ban them.

There is no other RATIONAL explanation for this program.

How about one set of criminals selling guns to another set of criminals to keep the drug traffic coming?

You are, of course, able to explain how this was ever an investigation when no attempt was made to track the weapons and there was no attempt to gather evidence to generate a Warrant, right?

Feel free to explain how the actions that are now well known, could have ever been part of a legitimate investigation.

"Self-Reported Gun Ownership in U.S. Is Highest Since 1993

Majority of men, Republicans, and Southerners report having a gun in their households

    by Lydia Saad

PRINCETON, NJ -- Forty-seven percent of American adults currently report that they have a gun in their home or elsewhere on their property. This is up from 41% a year ago and is the highest Gallup has recorded since 1993, albeit marginally above the 44% and 45% highs seen during that period."

I like your theory about the prevalence of guns and the idea of the Obama administration designing a program to stem gun purchases...

    ...rep on the way.

But there are plenty of irrational explanations by the Obamabots.

You will notice that they're not here!!! They are not defending Eric Holder or Obama--because they know that Fast & Furious---was an effort to get semi-auto's banned in this country.

But--How many have these guns slaughtered Mexicans in Mexico to get what these liberals wanted? In this country it is still called voluntary manslaughter--or accessory to murder--take your pick.

In Mexico--it should be considered an act of WAR.

Given the Mexican government's utter corruption and encouraging their poor to illegally enter the US, I'm not very concerned about their feelings on the matter, but yes, gunrunning is illegal.

But this Administration thinks it's above the law. It's undeniable.
