Gee, look at how all these raises from tax cuts improves people's lives

The maker of Huggies and Kleenex is firing up to 5,500 workers — and it's using Trump tax cuts to pay for the layoffs

The company said it would use savings from the new Republican tax plan to fund the layoffs

Sounds like they may be able to hold the price on diapers, think of all the savings for new families.

Wilbur Ross touts worker bonuses, ignores mass layoffs by same comp...

But it's OK, because Republicans are going to make sure workers who get laid off get job training.

So, $1,000 per employee is a bad thing. Cutting unprofitable stores or plants is part of keeping a business healthy. "One of the best things for consumer spending is something approaching 2 million American workers who got $1,000 bonuses in January — specifically because of the tax bill," Ross said.

Trump budget proposes 40% cut to job training programs

From your article moron:

The US Labor Department's own 2012 study found that one of its training programs for workers who lost their jobs to trade wasn't successful at placing them in good paying jobs or ones the workers wanted. Another 1997 Labor study, cited in Trump's budget, had dim conclusions too.

Some economists say the administration should only focus on apprenticeship programs in the workplace and not classroom-based job training programs.

Trump's budget proposal does call for $90 million for some apprenticeship programs -- the same amount President Obama appropriated for such training in 2016.

Republican Plans to Cut Taxes Now, Cut Programs Later Would Shortchange Infrastructure Investments

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) is an American think tank that analyzes the impact of federal and state government budget policies from a progressive perspective. ... CBPP was founded in 1981 by Robert Greenstein, a former political appointee in the Jimmy Carter administration. Just a little bias there sport.

Or not.

My comments in blue.

Correct me if you must, but 2 million people times one thousand per person is $2B injected into the economy in January.

And why SHOULDN'T you be able to cut jobs training programs somewhat --- if employment is up and not as many folks competing for the same crappy jobs..??

I also found two articles citing government training programs were many times not successful in placing graduates.
