Gay with HIV praises obamacare

This is a fluff piece. He gave so specifics other than an over-dramatization of his love for Obaminationcare. What is he paying? What is his plan? What is his deductible? How much of his $2K a month drug coverage is he having to pay out of pocket for?

He didn't answer any of these questions and I will bet his premiums are in the realm of $500-$600 without a subsidy, a $2K deductible, 80/20 copay and 60% drug coverage. The positive part is he is able to obtain coverage, when prior to this a medical condition like HIV would have had him denied (like my brother-in-law with MS).

HOWEVER, what this rosey story leaves out is that most of under insured in America prior to and after Obaminationcare are elderly people not at medicare age or the young. The elderly are still going to get hit with enormous premiums based on their age, that they can't afford. The young are going to get wacked hard with high premiums and most aren't going to sign up for it.

Then you get to the sick and poor. Yep rich sick guys like the author can afford $500-$600, but most sick people can't work and can't afford $500-$600 and a $2K premium. Many sick people are signing, but most aren't. They still can't afford Obaminationcare, because it is still so expensive. The poor are in the same boat!

Out of 1000 people Obaminationcare might work for 50 people, but for the 950 it's a total disaster for.

How many Republicans wish all the gays would just die?

Some?

Most?

All?

I'm guessing the answer is much closer to "all" than "some".

Because he could quit his job and have the taxpayers pay for his meds rather than work a job he doesn't love like virtually all other people

Op-ed: The Other Obligation That Comes With HIV | Advocate.com

A faggot with HIV milking the system.

Well at least the libs found someone who actually likes Hussein-Care.

First off he is FAR from milking the system. The article states that he had a sweet corporate job as a writer for a law firm; however, his DREAM was to work for himself as a freelance writer. A very honorable and respectable dream If you read the article you can see he is a a talented writer. However, since he has HIV he couldn't get individual insurance and his drugs cost $2K a month. Therefore he had to keep the corp job until he got fired.

He then goes on a lovefest for Obaminationcare, but leaves out many of the details. Make no mistake, he is a rich person with an expensive illness, but not one that prevent him from working! Unlike most sick people he can afford the high cost of Obaminationcare.

Again maybe 5 people out of 100 benefit from Obaminationcare; however, the other 95% suffer! Not a good plan!
