According to the BBC, the government believes the junior doctors are "trying to bring down the government" by engaging in a strike to renegotiate contracts with the members of the British Medical Association. But what is worrying for patients is that their medical care is now in the hands of "consultants and middle-grade doctors" who are now covering all intensive care, maternity, and emergency wards, according to the report.

This could very well be a "crystal ball" moment for the U.S. in seeing what the future might look like under the Affordable Care Act. As TruthRevolt has previously reported, the increased federal regulations and taxes under Obamacare are already leading to a doctor shortage and forcing health insurance providers to drop coverage after billions in losses.

Obama's America continues to look more and more like Europe, and the outcome is grim.

But, I thought I could keep my doctor if I liked him/her.

Bummer.

The insurance companies pulled that shit and now the Repub governors are screwing over their constituents and blaming ObamaCare.

Luckily, no one is really dumb enough to fall for the Repub's crap.

Well, most people aren't that dumb.

Don't know much about what Republican Governors are doing.

They didn't pass the law. Obama signed it.

Now, it's hurting a lot of people.

Can the far left be any more deflective ?

Yo, I guess the doubters of Sarah Palin were dead wrong?
"Death panel" is a discredited political term that originated during the 2009 debate about federal health care legislation to cover the uninsured in the United States.[1] Sarah Palin, former Republican Governor of Alaska, coined the term when she charged that proposed legislation would create a "death panel" of bureaucrats who would decide whether Americans—such as her elderly parents or children with Down syndrome—were "worthy of medical care".[2] Palin's claim, however, was widely debunked and has been referred to as the "death panel myth",[3] as nothing in any proposed legislation would have led to individuals being judged to see if they were worthy of health care.[4]

Palin's spokesperson pointed to Section 1233 of bill HR 3200 which would have paid physicians for providing voluntary counseling to Medicare patients about living wills, advance directives, and end-of-life care options. Palin's claim was reported as false and criticized by the press, fact-checkers, academics, physicians, Democrats, and some Republicans. Other prominent Republicans such as Newt Gingrich and conservative talk radio hosts Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Michelle Malkin backed Palin's statement. One poll showed that after it spread, about 85% of respondents were familiar with the charge and of those who were familiar with it, about 30% thought it was true.[3] Due to public concern, the provision to pay physicians for providing voluntary counseling was removed from the Senate bill and was not included in the law that was enacted, the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. In a 2011 statement, the American Society of Clinical Oncology bemoaned the politicization of the issue and said that the proposal should be revisited.

All kidding aside, this is a concern. Wondering what might be happening to alleviate this.

Nice plan...but it comes with risk.

You have to be willing to let people suffer if they make bad choices.

Whether we are talking national health care in Canada, which is reaching our once more to private insurers, or the NHS of Great Britain those cuts in programs will come to handle the growing debt of cost. That's one fact the liberals can't claim, that a government control insurance plan with not add to a nation's debt. There are no examples of it to be found without a cut into costly treatment programs, or limiting what conditions will be made to those in dire need to receive them.

Health care should be a system that everyone contributes a certain cost to, much the same as auto insurance. Everyone has a basic plan that will provide the very basic health check-up coverage they need, additional coverage costs will be added when you reach a certain age where those tests are more prevalent. A one size fits all Cadillac plan, where even men find coverage to see an obstetrician, does not work. You should be free to get as much needed insurance as you feel necessary, however you should be required to pay a certain additional cost in your premiums to cover the tests that are to be used. For those at high risk from certain health issues, they will be placed in a risk pool where they are among those patients (who may at some point require such tests) draw from. Options, levels of care, and patient decisions OVER government induced choices that are forced upon them, are the best way to go.

Nice example of shackles.
