French film great Jean-Paul Belmondo dies at 88

I really like his 1971 film about the times of the French Revolution/ here is the beginning of the movie:

Very popular French movie star ..
The man was very known by the rest of Earth population outside US.
It's not his fault that he doesn't know Belmondo and other world-famous movie stars from Europe. It's just that liberal and so freedom-loving Hollywood does not tolerate competition and therefore it is almost impossible to see a foreign film in US cinemas. Well, since these films do not go to cinemas, then they do not exist, that's why this strange question was raised.
