A number of allegations have been made about the use of Mena Intermountain Municipal Airport as a CIA drop point in large scale cocaine trafficking, beginning in the latter part of the 1980s. Several local, state, and federal investigations have taken place in relation to these allegations. The topic has received some press coverage that has included allegations of awareness, participation and/or coverup involving prominent figures such as Bill Clinton,[6][7][8][9] George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Governor Jeb Bush and Saline County prosecutor Dan Harmon (who was convicted of numerous felonies including drug and racketeering charges in 1997[10]). The Mena airport was also associated[clarification needed] with Adler Berriman (Barry) Seal, an American drug smuggler and aircraft pilot who flew for the Medellín Cartel.[11]

<Try and continue with a straight face> An investigation by the CIA's inspector general concluded that the CIA had no involvement in or knowledge of any illegal activities that may have occurred in Mena.

Many Americans must be worried at the way so-called President Trump makes a habit of criticizing the American press and media (except FAUX News), POWs, disabled Americans, Republicans, Democrats, the European Union, Mexico, NATO, the Chinese, the Japanese, and so on but never a word of criticism of Putin as well as appointing someone who was negotiating the lifting of sanctions on Russia as a chief of security. They must be wondering if Trump is either a Russian mole or just plain nuts.

LOL, dude, thread topics are irrelevant to you? Russia did it, LOL.

I agree 100% with the CIA official. Trump is the gravest long term threat to this country. Everything has to fit into his worldview and any intelligence that does not is bogus. When you have a President who ignores this is putting this country into jeopardy. Russia is currently allying itself with Iran who is a state sponsor of terrorism and anti-America and anti-Israel. The fact is that the people who work for our intelligence services are patriots the same as the soldiers in the field. Ywet when they make a assessment they are attacked by Trump because it does not fit his views.

I would kinda think that the Cold War was a far greater threat to America...however, the point is taken.

It is easier to destroy something from the inside than it is to destroy it from the outside. Already we are seeing maneuvers to destabilize the American economy with Trump's de-regulatory policy. Now, some of this is warranted, however, in case everybody forgot, we went through what is now being called the "Great Recession" by the economists due to our former de-regulations which, as some Republicans deftly pointed out, had its roots in Clinton's presidency.

Now, Trumpers are cheering the same policies that they criticized Clinton for by seeing Trump uncouple financial institutions and aiming to allow them to resume their risky lending practices. In the short run, this is beneficial...however, short run gains are not worth long term disasters.
