Former AG Barr says trump's vocabulary is very limited

Of course he is correct. trump is the most self praising person I have ever listened to. He thinks quite more of himself than others do.
Perhaps it is not so much what words Trump uses but what they mean and how well his audience understands them that make the difference.

Novels are more interesting than scholarly text books, sell better and usually do not cost as much. Often a well written novel on a subject such as slavery has more impact and causes more change than an academic thesis.

Trump thinks outside the box. Much politicians try to impress voters with how intelligent and well educated they are and the end result is they put their audience asleep. Trump tries to convince his crowds with how he is like them and therefore understands their problems.

And, OBTW, OMB hardly ever uses a Teleprompter.
Trump almost always uses a teleprompter. He just has a hard time reading the big words others have written for him.

You've been gaslighted into not seeing the teleprompters Trump uses. But if you pay attention, you can see him often tilting his head when he is reading from one.

“In June of 1775, the Continental Congress created a unified army out of the revolutionary forces encamped around Boston and New York, named after the great George Washington, commander in chief. The Continental Army suffered a bitter winter of Valley Forge, found glory across the waters of the Delaware and seized victory from Cornwallis at Yorktown. Our army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do, and at Fort McHenry, under the rockets’ red glare, it had nothing but victory."
