This needs to be the law in all 50 states.

  • - Tougher penalties for knowingly hiring or transporting undocumented people in the state
    - E-Verify employment screening for new hires at businesses with 25 or more employees
    - Florida hospitals will collect immigration status and the state will no longer recognize outside driver licenses for people who are undocumented

Supporters believe a new Florida law recently signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis will crack down on illegal immigration.

Among the new law's provisions:

  • - Tougher penalties for knowingly hiring or transporting undocumented people in the state
    - E-Verify employment screening for new hires at businesses with 25 or more employees
    - Florida hospitals will collect immigration status and the state will no longer recognize outside driver licenses for people who are undocumented
    - Florida's migrant relocation program also gets another $12 million after previously flying nearly 50 undocumented from Texas to Martha's Vineyard.
However, from farming to construction, the law is expected to have a wide-ranging impact on a number of industries vital to Florida's economy.

Look into E-Verify. All they are is a good idea, with piss poor implementation.

"Panic" in quotation marks. What does that mean? There is no panic. It's another bullshit story written by somebody named Rebecca Blackwell and promoted by the left wing media. If you want to see real panic you can look at those poor Americans who live along the border and are facing an invasion.

You can bet there are many employers in Florida sweating this out. The question will be on enforcement.

Then we fix e-verify.
Stop pouring cold water EVERY TIME there is ANY attempt to address the problem of people flooding our borders.
Yes, fix E-Verify, or better yet, come up with a whole new verification system, that actually works.
I'm not pouring cold water, just trying to pass on what I know.

You're definitely a Dimocrat. Any time ANY measure whatsoever is tried to stem the flood, you guys can always be counted on to oppose it.
Scaring off the farm workers just hurts the farmers. It's the usual thing with any republican "solution" to illegal immigration. It's more important that someone gets hurt than the problem actually gets addressed.
