First it was global cooling, then global, warming, then climate change, now it's.....

....global climate disruption. How many name changes will this have to go through to try and sell the same fairy tale, myth, nonsense and alarmism? If it has to go through this many name changes, it's garbage. This has completely taken snake oil to a new level. Oh, but Barack Obama has talked with meteorologists about this. Obama doesn't associate with meteorologists, he associates with Weathermen.

Global cooling, warming, climate change, disruption, whatever; it's a radical cult religion that has two gods: the village idiot and chicken little.

And the Republican alternative to doing something about the Greenhouse Effect is to continue down our current unsustainable path of industrious self-destruction with increasing profits concentrated to fewer and fewer people.

Good plan, Republicans.

OK. You are just so smart, why is it that all the Scientfic Societies, all the National Academies of Science, and all the major Universities in the world have policy statements that AGW is real, and a clear and present danger? It could not be that you are just another flap-yapping ignoramous, could it?

The scientific reasons for the warming are well understood, and have been for over a century.

2012 AMS Information Statement on Climate Change

How is climate changing?

Warming of the climate system now is unequivocal, according to many different kinds of evidence. Observations show increases in globally averaged air and ocean temperatures, as well as widespread melting of snow and ice and rising globally averaged sea level. Surface temperature data for Earth as a whole, including readings over both land and ocean, show an increase of about 0.8°C (1.4°F) over the period 1901─2010 and about 0.5°C (0.9°F) over the period 1979–2010 (the era for which satellite-based temperature data are routinely available). Due to natural variability, not every year is warmer than the preceding year globally. Nevertheless, all of the 10 warmest years in the global temperature records up to 2011 have occurred since 1997, with 2005 and 2010 being the warmest two years in more than a century of global records. The warming trend is greatest in northern high latitudes and over land. In the U.S., most of the observed warming has occurred in the West and in Alaska; for the nation as a whole, there have been twice as many record daily high temperatures as record daily low temperatures in the first decade of the 21st century.

The effects of this warming are especially evident in the planet’s polar regions. Arctic sea ice extent and volume have been decreasing for the past several decades. Both the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets have lost significant amounts of ice. Most of the world’s glaciers are in retreat.

Other changes, globally and in the U.S., are also occurring at the same time. The amount of rain falling in very heavy precipitation events (the heaviest 1% of all precipitation events) has increased over the last 50 years throughout the U.S. Freezing levels are rising in elevation, with rain occurring more frequently instead of snow at mid-elevations of western mountains. Spring maximum snowpack is decreasing, snowmelt occurs earlier, and the spring runoff that supplies over two-thirds of western U.S. streamflow is reduced. Evidence for warming is also observed in seasonal changes across many areas, including earlier springs, longer frost-free periods, longer growing seasons, and shifts in natural habitats and in migratory patterns of birds and insects.

Yeah, it's all bullshit. Let's deregulate more industries and drill for precious oil in more national forests. Let's build more pipelines that will make oil companies richer, because oil companies aren't making enough money already. Let's give the oil companies more subsidies so they can expand their drilling operations and create more jobs so that the oil can go to pay off our debt to China while the oil companies stick their profits in untaxed overseas accounts. Let's dump a few more thousand tons of plastic shit into the oceans. Let's clearcut all of the rainforests for grazing land so that McDonald's can have even cheaper "meat". Oil spills create jobs, too.

Republicans have such a brilliant vision for the future.

Still the same bullshit.
actually it is reversion to the mean. 1895 was probably when the last of the crap from the Krakatoa eruption filtered out of the atmosphere. When it is possible to take non-ice breaker cruises to the magnetic north pole as the Chinese did in 1421 we will have reverted to the mean.

And here we have proof of just how STUPID the believers are. You must not be aware that the US has significantly reduced emissions and continues to do so.

I suggest you go to somewhere like India or China or Africa and complain, let us know how well that works.

Position Statement.

Decades of scientific research have shown that climate can change from both natural and anthropogenic causes. The Geological Society of America (GSA) concurs with assessments by the National Academies of Science (2005), the National Research Council (2011), and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2007) that global climate has warmed and that human activities (mainly greenhouse‐gas emissions) account for most of the warming since the middle 1900s. If current trends continue, the projected increase in global temperature by the end of the twentyfirst century will result in significant impacts on humans and other species.

Addressing the challenges posed by climate change will require a combination of adaptation to the changes that are likely to occur and global reductions of CO2 emissions from anthropogenic sources.
Purpose. This position statement (1) summarizes the strengthened basis for the conclusion that humans are a major factor responsible for recent global warming; (2) describes the significant effects on humans and ecosystems as greenhouse‐gas concentrations and global climate reach projected levels; and (3) provides information for policy decisions guiding mitigation and adaptation strategies designed to address the future impacts of anthropogenic warming.

LOL. Buddy boy, let's see evidence from a credible source for that ridicoulous claim:cuckoo:

I suggest you take the blinders off and realize that the whole world understands the problem, other than our GOP. And that the primary contributor untill the last couple of years were the US and Europe. Yes, we have reduced our contribution, and that is good, but not by nearly enough. As for India and China, they are both nations that are going to suffer hugely from the effects of the warming, and they cannot afford to continue down their present path.

Tell ya what "buddy".... when you can actually get the third world, India and China and the other polluters to even marginally approach what we have done in regards emissions come back and talk to me. meanwhile our President and his EPA are trying to gut our electrical grid, raise prices by 200 or more percent and destroy entire work forces.

We are not the problem and until you actually address the real problem I for one am done listening to you try and destroy our economy.

Hey anus face,

I'm not alone on this one. 31,487 scientists, including 9,029 PhD agree that it's a myth.

Global Warming Petition Project

Futhermore, perhaps instead of believing in Bigfoot, the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause and climate...whatever they change the name to, read the books by meteorologist Brian Sussman and watch the videos of Dr. Michael Coffman. Greenpeace co-founder, Patrick Moore testified before the senate that man caused climate change is a myth. Even the "father" of climate change, James Lovelock has bailed out on this fairy tale.

They need to call it what it is. A fake solution to global warming that is all about redistributing wealth and giving a corrupt government control over energy. Eventually, they want the U.N. to have that control. It will include a massive redistribution and global tax. They don't want anyone in the world to be able to escape paying huge unfair taxes.

This isn't a new idea by the left. It was suggested long ago by experts who specialize in converting free countries into commie countries that government must gain control over energy and claim a global crisis in order to force people to cede rights. In the 70's, they tried global cooling and that fell flat. Now they have dumped billions into this latest scare. The 1%, Goldman Sachs and their ilk, stand to make a mind blowing amount of money on Cap and Trade. Some countries bet it all on this scheme and need the redistributed money to shore up public pension plans. The liberal media doesn't talk about that.

California is just the worst example of Mexicans overrunning states....due to Pubs refusing a good SS/ID card. They actually love the cheap, easily bullied illegal labor. The Dems in Cal. didn't do that, it was the ''freedom loving" Pubs in DC.

Where you born in Cal? Too damn many people...
