Firm sells solar panels - to itself, taxpayers pay

Consider Oil and then consider why Obama is seeking alternative forms of energy,

Global Oil Price Factors | ExxonMobil's Perspectives Blog

"Crude oil prices are largely determined by global markets. As I’ve said before, crude oil is one of a number of globally traded commodities like gold, corn, coffee and many others. The prices of such commodities are set in worldwide markets comprised of millions of buyers and sellers reacting to economic fundamentals for each commodity."

Crude oil prices are rising becaue the Obama admin wants them to. Chu famously said we should be paying the same price for gas as Europe. Here in Reno the City council finally figured out that their windmill scheme is a failure. They spent 920,000 dollars that they didn't have on 9 windmills and they have now figured it would take 140 years to pay back the initial investment at the rate of energy savings they are realising.

Wind is a scam. Has allways been a scam, and will allways be a scam.

This is a common business practice used often by foreign companies to their US located subsidiaries. They sell products or materials to their US counterpart at inflated prices to the US located firm shows little or no profit for taxes but the parent company makes megabucks.

I guess we need more regulations on industries?
Strange this coming from the right wingers though.

That only speaks to the insanely high corporate taxes US based operations face, now the highest in the world. Of course, that is NOT the point of the tread.

No one would care about this 'common business practice' if it were not being supported by taxpayer money. That's the point and you know it. Go ahead and defend fascistic meddling if you like.

Australia has a flat 20% corporate tax rate, most US corporations do not pay that big of a tax rate.

But keep on believing the lie if you want.

Some pay higher, some lower, which is exactly the problem. The meddlers have picked which companies they want to help and other they want to hurt. Stop the damn meddling.

And by the way, Australia also meddles. Not all companies pay the flat rate. Just ask the mining companies.
