Jesus. Haven't they done enough to star wars already? Now they put a woman in charge of it that purposefully trying to make things that make men uncomfortable?

We can't even have a fake, fictional universe that isn't real without some social agenda twat trying to inject reality into it?

Seems Disney is doubling down on their double down.

The problem with Star Wars fans is they haven't been happy with any movie since 1983. They weren't even happy with "Return of the Jedi". They hated the Prequels, they hated the Sequels, they hate the stand alone films and they hate most of the spinoff series.

There's no pleasing some people.

I'm sure her comments are making investors quite uncomfortable. If you hire and activist for a job, expect the small minority that support such activism to be your customers. Nothing more.

Yeah, great idea since sooooo many females have made the Star Wars franchise a success.......

star war started as a western where they saddle up on x wings spacecraft. it kind of devolved quickly into an intergalactic blazing saddles.

next sequel darth slim pickens will join the cast.

Actually, the Prequels are better movies than people give them credit for.

I do think Disney has made a lot of mistakes with the Franchise, though. Strong female characters isn't one of them.

Rogue One was excellent......Easily the best of the bunch.

Not really.

Let's do a thought experiment. Imagine that you removed all Star Wars/New Hope references from the movie, and they were just trying to steal plans from Generic bad guys. Without all the references to other better movies, would you really care about these characters who all died?

Sure, they died with honor.....Something you would know little about.

it is not exactly like that rasta frog thing from carrie fisher's planet.is a positive role model for the "groomer" crowd.

The one where everyone died to prevent a sequel?

Now you're on to something.

Besides, what could make men more uncomfortable than kissing their sister?

that's the punch line.

incest went mainstream in season 1 of game of thrones

They're the ones ponying up the money to watch the films, so if they don't like woke messaging, they're driving the bus. If Disney wants their butts in the seats, it would behoove them to make films they want to see.

Here's the stupid thing Disney has done. They have put someone in charge of making movies about things like shooting bad guys, blowing stuff up, etc. who wants to denigrate the people who are best at doing them, men. It would be like the director of a movie about a bunch of Arnold Schwarzenegger types being kindergarten teachers saying he wants to make women feel uncomfortable. Kind of dumb.

But it served to underline Jamie's depravity all through the series even if he did something good.....It was all about the end game motivation of fucking his sister.
even jamie lannister's redemption arc led back full circle.

They're fictional characters, they didn't die.

If you are talking about Jar-Jar, he's from Natalie Portman's home planet.
