...after you have driven 70,000km (44,000 miles) or about 6 years of driving.

So to produce an EV, it takes around 60% more carbon emissions. So to claw this back, you need to drive 44,000 miles. But strangely, the article misses off the carbon emissions to scrap an EV compared to an ICE vehicle.

So if you write off your car within the carbon period, you are doing more harm to the environment. And if it burns out within 44,000 miles, then ........

What about the additional emissions required to source the energy to charge the vehicles?

Does that count when the EV is engulfed in fire?

Did they forget about the extra tire compounds they leave behind them due to their weight....In 44k miles you would be ready for your third set of tires.
The facts are the facts and the minor considerations have been taken into consideration. The rest of the world is moving on to accept hybrids.l

Why is everything you dont like SPAM? EV's are heavier, the tires wear out sooner, and rubber left on the road definately is a consideration for environmental pollution. Also more EV's means need for more tire production.
