Even FOX news sees the danger

Just post some quotes thats all. I'm not saying it didn't happen. Just can't find anything.

So now you claim Bush never announced the banks were going to collapse if we did not help them?

How dishonest you all are.

Bush crashed this economy and left a huge mess for Obama to pull us out of.

Now your team is holding the American people hostage to get their way.

The American people want taxes raised

Fox created a monster they can now not control
FAUX Noise was (only) a "cheerleader".

When it comes right-down-to-it....it was Corporate America that created the present "monster".....and, their Champion was The DICK; Armey.

"While Mr Armey insisted that the party would unify around its new leadership, including soon-to-be-named speaker, John Boehner, he warned that Republican lawmakers who strayed from the core tenants of the party – “liberty” and fiscal discipline – would face the wrath of Tea Party activists in the next round of elections."

Presently, it's appearing The DICK; Armey is looking (more) a George Armstrong Custer figure.....and, the Teabaggers are about to become tombstones, on the side of a hill.

The tribes who are cooperating (recently), to be done with The DICK & his troopers?

Conservative Republicans & the DEMS!!!!

"Revenue has averaged 18 percent of G.D.P. since 1970 and a little more than that in the postwar era. At a similar stage in previous business cycles, two years past the trough, revenue was considerably higher: 18 percent of G.D.P. in 1977 after the 1973-75 recession; 17.3 percent of G.D.P. in 1984 after the 1981-82 recession, and 17.5 percent of G.D.P. in 1993 after the 1990-91 recession. Revenue was markedly lower, however, at this point after the 2001 recession and was just 16.2 percent of G.D.P. in 2003.

The reason, of course, is that taxes were cut in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006.

It would have been one thing if the Bush tax cuts had at least bought the country a higher rate of economic growth, even temporarily. They did not." - Bruce Bartlett

Has everything to do with how much debt we have right now.

It has little to do with ‘the debt,’ it has to do with a dysfunctional Congress and its inability to either repeal or raise the debt ceiling, a mere political contrivance.

Worse still, no effective, comprehensive plan can be worked out under such conditions.

Vote to raise the debt ceiling now, no strings attached – move on from the nonsense.

Then work in earnest to craft meaningful debt reduction that includes tax increases and spending cuts.

It’s the responsible thing to do, it’s what the Constitution mandates Congress to do.

Really?

"Standard & Poor's warned earlier this month that there was a 50-50 chance of a downgrade, if Congress and President Obama failed to find a "credible solution to the rising U.S. government debt burden." S&P said it may cut the U.S. rating to AA within 90 days. Passing a $4 trillion agreement could prevent a downgrade, S&P said."

So you are so dishonest you are now saying that Bush did not go on TV to announce to the nation in october of 2008 that the economy was about to collapse and that we were going to bail out the banks?

Maybe you should show a shred of honesty and call off your idiot reps and tell them to pass a clean bebt limit bill and then fight for their partisan demands on their own instead of holding the country hostage to their demands.

No. I said I want a source to your claim that He said we were falling in a Depression.

Please keep up and stop with the straw men.

Its what the man said was going to happen if we did not bail out the banks.

its been posted a ton of times on this site.

There is no reason to hand you guys facts you jsut pretend they dont exsist even after you have been proven wrong.

So if he said it, it wont be difficult to provide a quote or a transcript would it?

You really need to stop changing your argument. this has got to be the fourth different version of what you claimed Bush said.

Wouldn't it be easier just to quote what you think he said than maintain several different stories?
