EV Tires

Right, you simply charge it 20 hours a day
I mean, if you’re charging it off of a hamster wheel.

Most people charge their car in an hour or so, at night when electricity is nice and cheap.

Well, we should definitely buy ICE cars because they grow on trees and don’t cause pollution in manufacturing.

Right?

Unlike EVs traditional vehicles don't flaunt themselves as "emission free".

If you're going to base your self worth on the idea you pollute less than your neighbor... at least make an effort to confirm that it's true.

Electricity is cheaper at night because there is less demand for it at night. When most businesses are closed.

Increase the demand at night for a million EVs and watch that price skyrocket.

Supply and demand.

Flattening the demand curve isn’t a bad thing. We have lots of windmills for example that run at night, and their power needs to go somewhere.

These complement each other nicely.

Home charger goes about 40 miles wortth of charge per hour.

Average person drives about 30 miles a day.

Imagine getting into your car every day with a full tank.
Your link says 8 hours of charging plus additional charging at work

Imagine waking with a full tank that gets you to work, if you live 10 miles from work and do not sit in traffic

Imagine requiring fuel twice a day instead of once every 2 weeks

If you only live 10 miles from work... buy a bicycle.

EV's are major polluters. Making their batteries pollutes. Making many of the car parts pollutes. Manufacturing the electric to charge them pollutes. Transporting them around the world pollutes. Now, they go through tires four times faster than regular cars, and tires pollute, not to mention a set of tires for an EV cost about $1500, about every 7,000 miles. But, let's have the government mandate that everyone must own one so we can save the environment.

The thing that these stupid Moon Bats don't want to hear about is the fact that the life cycle of an EV has a greater carbon footprint than that of an ICE vehicle.

Where does the link say that?

You stupid Bingos will believe anything. :lmao: EVs can burn through your tires quicker but only because they can produce more torque at more constant rate. If you're burning through your tires every 7,000 miles it's because you're launching at every light.

Uh, what?

I don’t think you understand how batteries work. You charge them with electricity. The lithium stays inside the car. It doesn’t go anywhere.
So, since energy pollutes, charging EV's with electricity doesn't pollute?
