Now the ACLU is barking up the tree in a weak attempt to convince a judge that the Civil Rights of a Lesbian can only be fulfilled if the district allows a prom.

The optimal solution is to have enforced a gender-specific dress code, regardless of sexuality. You don't go drag to a black-tie event (except in San Francisco).
