Betsy DeVos Says Sheā€™s ā€˜Misunderstood,ā€™ Then Struggles To Explain Her Own Policies
Education secretary also admits she hasnā€™t visited underperforming schools.
DeVos claimed that when kids opt to go to private or charter schools, public schools also improve. Then, DeVos admitted she didnā€™t know if that happened in her home state of Michigan, where she has long advocated for such programs.

Hereā€™s the exchange:
Axios on Twitter

By the time the interview was over on 60Minutes, she looked like dumb stupid clueless shit, Trump loves hiring for key positions in his administration.

We all know that Communist Broadcasting Station (CBS) is nothing but a political arm of the Democratic Party/Communist Party and Hillary, so consider the source.

They have no credibility.

The worst thing is her thought process that if she's not using her gob to talk, it has to be smiling like a cheese burger with extra cheese on top of the extra cheese.

Then she goes and talks tripe (just to keep up the food based nonsense).

She says they should not be investing in school buildings, not in institutions, but in students.

Where does she think students study? On the grass when it's raining?

She probably got her information about this from "
Competitive Effects of Means-Tested School Vouchers"

American Economic Association

This has a nice thing you can download which shows you the data. Except it doesn't.

"Due to confidentiality restrictions, we were required by the Florida Department of Education to fully de-ā€identify all data Due to confidentiality restrictions, we were required by the Florida Department of Education to fully de-ā€identify all data"

On the other hand there's opinion that the success is not justified.

" the improvement of Floridaā€™s low-performing schools probably had more to do with the implementation of that stateā€™s accountability system than with the threat of students leaving the schools via the voucher system."

Certainly F grade students seem to be at about the same level.

In Florida vouchers were only given to students at schools which gained an F. So it's interesting that A grade students jumped massively, D grade students C and D grade students dropped, while F and B grade students remained at similar levels.

It suggests that something was working, perhaps tests were easier, perhaps some teaching got better, but it doesn't point much to an improvement at the very bottom.
