You LIE again!!! Wholesale gasoline was $1.70 when you posted that lie. The lowest gas tax in the contiguous USA is higher than $0.36 & Alaska at $0.31 There might be some Costco's, Sams's & Walmart 's subsidizing it selling at a loss to lure Christmas shoppers into their stores, but the Real Price is well above $2.06 before transportation, business expense, pump cost & credit fees.

The price you posted are not accurate when I clicked on the links. Randalls is $1.99 not the $1.75 lie you posted. Most show 1 station way below all others temporarily taking a loss to get you to buy soda & cigarettes. Texas gasoline taxes are 38.4 cents per gallon plus you have toll roads. Here in Missouri taxes are only 35.7 cents per gallon and NO toll roads. They are selling it below the $1.70 wholesale market price they paid for it plus tax (taking a loss). Could be the Houston refineries there are dumping occasional overstock loads close by, but that is not real market price. Yeah we have a way out Missouri station selling at $1.87 but they are losing money.
No, they just charged you & others more for snacks & drinks to subsidize their loss on gas for a few hours. The real price paid is still over $2U.S. traffic growth slows as oil prices rise
