Dumb University Honors Trayvon Martin

Florida Memorial University this past weekend, gave a special honor to house burglar and street thug, Trayvon Martin. One could ask a simple question about this >>> Why ?

The award was a posthumous Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. One of the presenters said that Trayvon Martin “means so much to all of us.” Really ? Means what ?

I really don’t get tgis. A 17 year old kid goes around crawling into people’s windows, burglarizing their houses, and gets a pass from his local police dept, because the city/county wanted more grant money, and wouldn’t get it unless black juvenile crime was kept minimal.

So for the same crimes that a white burglar would be arrested and do jail time for, all the little Trayvons in Miami-Dade walk free, because they’re black. This is the first I had heard of Affirmative Action for house burglars and assault/battery criminals. And now the kid gets a posthumous degree from a university. Well, universities have been having a habit of some pretty strange behavior , in recent years.

Here’s a hint for FMU. How about special honors for your graduates who went on to serve in the military, and got killed in combat, fighting for their country ? (and just in time for Memorial Day – May 29) Wouldn’t that be better than some guy guy whose death came as a result of thuggishly attacking somebody in the street ?
