The Rs are seeing the wild and wooly members of their party are attacking and marginalizing deep state Republicans, Bush supporters. The Rs are winning because mainstream Ds are no longer supported by their party as witness Biden polling numbers. The Blue wall is disintegrating and the red edge is increasing. The question is: 'which of the two extremes will the middle-of-the-road majority decide to support'?

Which party will more successfully demonize the other?

Well the middle of the road chose the dems pretty convincingly in 18. But Sanders and Warren are not running on the same issues, that is true

I actually think it's more rank and file die hard dems. Hillary won the primary last time because she was "the chosen one," who had all the deep pocket money, and Sanders, and now Warren, don't offer blacks in the South much, and there are lot of delegates down there.

The rank and file think the primary was stolen from them, (sort of, but Bernie is NOT a dem, so stop their whining) and they think Bernie would have beaten Trump …. which is bullshit because the white suburban women with kids weren't voting for a 1970 back to the earth wannabe fake socialist hippie.

Once the demographic shift happens the Republicans of today will be gone. Our 'Right Wing' political party will resemble many European nations...e.g. slightly left of center.
