Unfortunately, President Bush was unable to push forward and get his proposed reform of Social Security through.

The Liberal Blockade has really starved senior citizens who really haven't see growth in their Social Security investments.

Imagine if the people were getting 3 times as much in Social security? That would have been a lib catastrophe with millions doing well.Where was the Dow Jones when Obama took office?

/——/ There are counties in the South West that opted out of Social Security in favor of price accounts. They have made a fortune. BTW, FDR included a partial privatization of SS but Congress mixed it.
