On this logic no Christian could ever kill at all. Neither Adolf Hitler nor Eric Rudolph (etc etc ad infinitum) are guilty of murder, let alone bearing false witness, coveting their neighboring country's goods, etc.

James Crowe, Richard Reed, Frank McCord and Calvin Jones, all of whom were young (20s) ex-soldiers, none of whom had any known political associations, and they did so as a silly social club with no particular purpose other than coping with boredom in a small town on Christmas Day (1865).

It depends on your level of knowledge. High School history is much more sanitized than a Freshman college course. Make no mistake though The sanitizing of History is not unique to either side of the political isle.
