Collective bargaining is not a right ,
The abused perpetrated against tax payers by unions cutting sweet heart deals with politicians they backed financially is a crime .

Hearings on Islamic radicals on the hill is not McCarthyism it is the first step on a long journey of understanding who and what the enemy is, Using the hearing as another pointless reason to attack Christianity is inappropriate unless looking like an idiot is what you live for.

Unfortunately, not everyone sees things this way. There are quite a number of people who think that the American people are stupid and can never learn enough to govern themselves. They believe that the elites in Washington need to make the decisions for us. I don't agree with these people.

The problem is that these people have infected both parties to some degree. The only way we combat this desire to from elites to keep the people ignorant is by stepping up and studying all the issues through and through, then making our own decisions. We step up and govern our own lives and it doesn't matter what they throw at us. We will remain free.

We have to first define the problems/challenges before we can go forth with solutions that a majority can agree upon. ( not everyone will agree of course ) And we will remain free as long as we remain the strongest doing whatever that takes.

Islam is not our enemy.

All states who already haven't should pass constitutional amendments prohibiting states from engaging in contractual obligations with employees that exceed the current annual budget.

The Hearings on Islamic radicals probably is a new McCarthyism. But what do these two disjoint topics have to do with one another?

Thread over.

The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.--Ayn Rand

99.99% of the time it is the other way around. The man who speaks to you of slaves and masters is a slave and seeks to be liberated.

Ayn Rand was a mouthpiece for plutocracy. Hence her life long friendship with Alan Greenspan.

The title of the thread refers to the histrionics from the left of late, if you couldn't put the title and the op together, I doubt your opinion on anything is very deep.
Thanks for visiting.
Good bye.

Okay, so if you people win, and another large sector of working America sees its wages, disposal income, medical coverage, retirement funds decline,

joining all the other sectors of working America that have seen that decline occur already,

what's the benefit? Every time a little bit of America gets a little poorer, who wins?

And let's keep in mind from the last few days, it was determined that the consensus on the Right is that the one group who MUST not get a little poorer are the wealthiest among us.

Seriously, why would you want America to be that way? It doesn't make any sense.

the teachers are going to be providing for there own future and getting off the backs of the tax payers a little bit and there will not be anymore sweetheart deals at their expense.Get over it.

First off, we already won.

Second, if we aren't paying disproportionate wages/benefits to a coddled portion of our employees, we can use those funds for the benefit of ALL citizens, not just a minority segment.

That you think the wages/benefits of the average public sector worker represents 'coddling' simply reinforces my point in the past -

that we are a nation in decline.

You want to make the 50,000 a year public employee sacrifice for the common good;

why don't you want to make the 500,000 a year, or the 5 million a year American sacrifice for the common good?

Why is your version of class warfare targeting the working class?

So they will be a little poorer. That was my premise. No strawman. The question was, how does making another entire sector of working America poorer make the country better?

Where does conservative vision of America lead us, eventually? The full force of conservatism in this area is to see to it that more and more Americans work for less money,

before (and still) it was the private sector workers, now it's the public sector workers.

What is the end product here? The masses in America working in low paying jobs, barely getting by,

contrasted with a numerically smaller but vastly more powerful elite wealthy class?

...and fewer and fewer in between?

Why for goodness sakes would anyone want that?

you are wise mr. F
suppose it was a cult plotting and executing terrorism (something that causes terror).
we've all heard stories of young and impressionable minds are rescued from the throws of the cult.
the government is too big. it has become such a lost at sea maelstrom.
the size of the government is directly perportioal to the ease by which an obvious ruling class attempt (coup), comes in the form of obama reid and pelosi, can and will occur. only, by definition, they fucked up. what they could have done, if they weren't giddy with power? talk about taking the keys from the drunk driver, the voter did.
now what is their immeadiate legacy? the undoing of the great "accomplishments". it's the purest example of the peter principle, and of human nature.

The strongest? You ARE referring to corporations, of course? Amercan citizens are losing their voice at breakneck speed to the plutocracy. And corporations are the only ones who now get to do "whatever it takes". Notice how the richest of the rich are somehow missing in all of our "pain and sacrifice"? All the cuts fall on the least of us and hard-working Americans that have had their wages in decline for 30 years.

Way to bend over without even asking for a reach-around, neocon!
