As far back as I can remember, there has been a derangement syndrome among the current occupier of the White House.

Nixon Derangement Syndrome was probably the worst.

Carter was vilified for the hostage crisis, the oil crisis, stagflation, you name it.

Reagan was going to get us all nuked.

Hmmm. Now that I think about it, there wasn't much in the way of Bush Sr. Derangement Syndrome. He was just kind of wishy-washy. He was actually pretty popular until Ross Perot came along and cut him off at the knees.

Bill Clinton? Sheeeeee-it. Clinton Derangement Syndrome was second only to Nixon Derangement Syndrome. Even back then they went after his wife. Especially on HillaryCare. Clinton Derangement Syndrome led to the birth of Hillary's Vast Right Wing Conspiracy™. And then along came Monica and all hell broke loose.

Bill Clinton was blamed for everything that went wrong in the first six years of Dubya's presidency.

Bush, Jr. Derangement Syndrome certainly existed, and Darth Cheney didn't help much. BushCo. BushHitler. Those of us who weren't in a coma well remember BDS.


Hell, there was Jefferson Derangement Syndrome, too. Just ask that guy Marbury. This shit goes WAY back.

Why is it when they do the same thing to Obama it's racism, but when done the same with the Clintons is not white racism but derangement syndrome?

I think its a valid question. Do we have Bush derangement syndrome. During W's dark days, with the army getting its ass kicked, maybe there was. But, Jeb's up to his ass in Lehman Bros, and Carlyle enriches the Bushs and their vassals with private equity investments in six continents with stocks bonds and real estate ... and if there wasn't a conflict of interest in "destroying capitalism in order to save it" in 1999, there never can be a conflict of interest.

Nevertheless, that's the world we live in. Right or wrong seems a bit irrelevant when something exists and there's no real option. But, Dante still asks the question why do we focus on the Clintons. I think the answer is really that there's an antipathy in the media that is caused by the Clintons themselves. Poppy dropped his "Jennifer" when he took the vp gig, before anyone asked. Slick kept his womanizing going and just lied, with a wink. The media asks the Bushs about Carlyle, and they say well all your facts are true, but we're just happy investors at heart. The Clintons have private foundations that probably don't disclose the donors as they should.
