I've found it hard to open my wallet when I'm not forced. I gave 50 to DGIndex and tried to give money to AviSynth, but have never given money to GIMP, Aptana, etc. I think Aptana is closed source.

But how about you guys? Are you donating money for software?

No. I know there's a difference between free as in open source and free as in free beer in the open source software world and I respect it. If I'm asked to pay for an app then I won't use it. This is in the GNU/Linux world.
