The Vietnamese ended colonialism, got rid of French, US, Russians and Chinese, and reunited their country.
They paid tremendous price, but, I have to say, they won.

We had no business ever being there, the world did not end when they won, and frankly, I think their furniture is the finest that can be bought for the money.

Tet decimated the NVA, it practically annihilated the VC.

It was 100% North Vietnam's war after Tet, the VC had no say in anything.

We had it "won", maybe, at that time.

At least a military victory, for a few years, until they tried again.

We didn't lose that war on the battle field. We lost it at the negotiation table. We also lost it with all the anti war demostrations going on in the US. The war became to costly policitally so we ended up with "Peace with Honor."

My brother fought in that war and he'd like to make another trip to Vietnam.

He'd like to go there in a B52 with Jane Fonda in the bomb bay just so he could throw her traitorous ass right out of that bomb bay.
