Do You Feel America Won The Vietnam War?

I'm serious.

We accomplished none of our goals.

Was it just because our politicians got tired of it?

What are your ideas?

The goal was not to win the war. the goal was to keep the economy going by keeping the keeping the suppliers of war related items producing at full capacity. the viet nam war helped keep the nation fully employed and created great wealth for a few all of this kept the politicians happy and the political donations flowing which seems to be what keeps our country working. It only cost 56,000 lives so the politicians probably feel it was a small price to pay for few years of a healthy economy. Was it worth it? I don't know, I'm a viet nam vet and I came home alive so maybe I'm the wrong person to answer that question. I'm sure someone whose husband, father, son whose name is on the wall could answer that for you.
