Apple recently announced that they are bringing $252 billion back to the U.S. and that they will invest $30 billion of that money to expand and to create 20,000 new jobs. Thanks to the Trump tax cuts, Apple will pay $38 billion in taxes on that money, instead of the $77 billion that they would have paid if they had brought back that money last year.

Although you'd never know it from listening to liberal propaganda, the Trump tax cuts ended the ability of American companies to park money overseas to avoid the U.S. corporate income tax. But, the tax cuts also offer American companies an incentive to bring that money back to the U.S. They can either keep that money overseas and pay the new corporate income tax rate of 21%, or they can bring it back to the U.S. and pay a special repatriation tax rate of 15.5%.

This is a win-win-win. We get $38 billion in tax revenue that we would not have otherwise gotten. We get $252 billion brought back to the U.S. We get $30 billion in direct investment into our economy. And we get 20,000 new jobs.

And did you realize, that Apple, who made its trillions.....got it from the very country it now wants to grace with its fortune? So why in the hell should anybody be grateful....get a life, idiot and get off of Trumps nuts

No it's not from the tax cuts, it's due to reduced penalty on bringing it back..That was part of the tax bill...But if they wait they will pay more, but the govt. is going after tax sheltered offshore dough...

This is great news for Americans. But Liberals have shown their true colors. They don't care about jobs for Americans, they don't care about blacks and the don't care about a booming economy. They just want to regain power anyway they can. Must suck to have middle America vote Trump into office who will call their white, elitist bullshIt out.

Liberals don't know of Trump's tremendous economic success because nobody told them on Democratunderground, Comedy Central or Saturday Night Live, which is where most of them get their "news".

If you only listen to Moon Bat hate you will only know of Moon Bat hate.

It's much like the hate you spew, why bother?

Wrong. The repatriation rate is one of the tax cuts. The tax cuts did not just involve personal income taxes but also corporate income taxes, and one of the corporate tax cuts was the special repatriation rate of 15.5% for bringing parked money back instead of the regular 21%.

Some liberals here almost seem to be saying that they would rather that money stay overseas, as opposed to having this positive development happen under Trump and because of Trump.

No one said shit about being grateful to Apple.

They realize it, but they don't care about American Citizens. They're Communist Globalists. The notion 'America First' disgusts them. Sadly, it is what it is.

So. . . . Uh. . . . You would rather that that money had stayed parked overseas? You would rather that the corporate income tax rate had stayed at 35% so that no company would have any incentive to bring money back to the U.S.? You would rather not see 20,000 new good jobs?

And what do you have against Apple? Do you dislike Apple because it employs over 40,000 Americans in the U.S.?

Or does your irrational hatred of wealth and success apply to all American companies?

Do liberals not understand that the average corporate income tax rate in Europe and Asia averages around 18-20%? So the provision in the tax-cut bill to reduce our corporate tax rate to 21% and to allow for a special repatriation rate of 15.5% was a very smart move, a move that is already paying off. That provision provided a huge cut in the tax that companies pay for bringing money back to the U.S.

It's so odd that liberals are always whining about wanting more middle-class jobs--jobs with good pay and benefits--yet they seem to want to do nothing but punish the companies that can provide those jobs.
