Report: 'Dirty bomb' parts found in slain man's home - Bangor Daily News
in Belfast, ME
i think thats close to Care4all
oh man, i hope not. might be near editec, too, then.
the guy was nuts. maybe that's why his wife off'd him.
Never fear. The US federal government will protect all. Have faith.
Maine? Are there any female posters on USMB living in Maine???
I almost bought his house twenty years ago whe I was looking at real estate in Belfast.
Apparently, this guy was a trustfunder.
But unlike the majority of trustfunders hereabouts, he was more of a jackbooted scion than one of the Berkenstock shod with a magic mailbox.
He is, and you cannot know how proud this makes us Mainers, the FIRST authentic DIRTY BOMBER discovered in the USA.
He ha enough low level (it would only give you cancer) material to make a small bomb.
He was investigating (and apparently had enough money) to get medical equipment which included enough cesium 137 to make a truly deadly (faster acting) dirty bomb.
Had his wife not shot him, (apparently he was into beating her) who knows if or where or when he might have tested his first device?
At this stage, I'm wondering (and wonder if anyone's ingestigating) if he's been field testing his poison?
Spreading it would not necessarily wake anyone up to what he was doing, after all.
No BOOM is necessary to poison people, after all.
He could have rented a plane at our local airport easily enoigh, for example.
If this some local area has a sudden epidemic of lung cancer a few years from now, will anyone even notice?
Sometimes I feel like half the board is from Maine.
Heck---I can put a stick of dynamite in my dirty laundry and wipe out half of south Austin.
