How about warrantless searches by Democrats? The H1N1 vaccine may become mandatory when Governor Deval Patrick signs it into law.

The much less hysterical version as you put it does not seem to mention the fact that warrant-less searches are allowed in this bill.

but i guess actually reporting on what liberties this particular bill tramples over is just fear mongering and promoting hysteria in your opinion.

Sounds a lot like how several Presidents dealt with the polio virus... and it was paralyzing but rarely deadly.

    poliomyelitis: Definition from Answers.com

In a threat to the health of Americans, I think this is reasonable, especially making the vaccines mandatory. (Once proper clinical studies have been done, of course)

    Firstly, BOTH parties are corrupt.

But the issue here is whether I have a right to prevent you from infecting me with the H1N1 or any other disease.

The question was answered affirmatively by the Supreme Court a long long time ago.

    correct.
"The House stripped the bill of several controversial provisions restricting public gatherings, allowing for warrantless arrests and authorizing compulsory vaccinations."

House approves pandemic bill - Plainville, MA - Wicked Local Plainville

but i don't doubt for a minute they would have left them in if there hadn't been such an outcry from all areas of the political spectrum.
