did david gregory break the law on meet the press holding up that magazine

What a Pin Head Thread. Wait until someone with a 100 shot clip invades a school with Lapierre's kids. Yes, Lapierre wants to try everything as long as it has nothing to do with assault rifles. Hunters really need them to bag game...:eusa_eh:
Are you making a threat against someones children?
And it's magazine not clip you dumb ass bastard

As I pointed out, Gregory's kids attend a school with 11 security staff, many police officers. They have guns in his kid's school. They also have secret service there on occassion. Probably the school with the most guns per student in the nation. Hypocracy reins in Gregory's world.

Fringe-right jackasses.

The answer is NO.

You can move on now.

Thank you for your concern and idiocy.

Sorry friend but you got it wrong here...create the crisis...let the national firearms debate take on a new tone...actual laws and enforcement. Gregory can afford a grand. Doubt he will do time but he is a 'journalist' and they live that martyr stuff.

I say bring it and we have a front row ticket.

You don't seem to want to enforce the gun control laws we have in place. I wonder if you would like more gun control laws, too?

Yes I would. And so do many others. But dont take my word for it.

If you cant admit we have a serious gun problem, you should not even take part on this convo. Defending gun rights is like defending crack cocaine, its is a waste of your intelligence.

Good comparison, street drugs are illegal and we have a big problem, I now wonder, we ban guns, we could have a big problem.

We have lots of problems to blame everything on just a gun problem is just stupid. The problem is bigger than guns, we have a mental health problem, we have family problem, we have a prescription drug problem, we have an entertainment problem.

The silly knee jerk ban guns, is not sane and not easy, it would as stupid as trying to round up 40 million illegal aliens and send them home.

I can't believe people are so simplistic in trying cure a bigger problem. Do you realize during Columbine we were in the middle of an assault ban? Those two kids broke 20-22 gun laws, it didn't seem to stop them.

 No doubt the network has a legal team who handles these things beforehand. I'm sure the law considers David Gregory to be acting as an agent of the DC News.

§ 7-2506.01. Persons permitted to possess ammunition.

(a) No person shall possess ammunition in the District of Columbia unless:
(1) He is a licensed dealer pursuant to subchapter IV of this unit;
(2) He is an officer, agent, or employee of the District of Columbia or the United States of America, on duty and acting within the scope of his duties when possessing such ammunition;
(3) He is the holder of the valid registration certificate for a firearm of the same gauge or caliber as the ammunition he possesses; except, that no such person shall possess restricted pistol bullets; or
(4) He holds an ammunition collector’s certificate on September 24, 1976.
(b) No person in the District shall possess, sell, or transfer any large capacity ammunition feeding device regardless of whether the device is attached to a firearm. For the purposes of this subsection, the term “large capacity ammunition feeding device” means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition. The term “large capacity ammunition feeding device” shall not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.
The press are now acting agents of the government?

 It's a news agency... No BFD.

Back peddling I see.
A news agency for the government?

I think we've ALL figured that out...

That's a stretch, but he could have asked the DC police clearance. That he is an "agent of the DC news" is not an agent of DC.

There is no such thing as a 100 shot clip, you moron.

Come on now let her build her argument on meet the press is run by the government.

In his world, there are 1000 shot clip, that is their scary pretend world they live in and they say ignorance is bliss.

Not really. Lapierre looked like a giant asshole gun nut all over again.

LaPierre used facts and reason. Gregory looked like an out of control liberal.

Lapierre wouldn't agree once that guns just might be a part of the problem. He is a complete moron.

He apparently believes that throwing violent dvd's at people is much more dangerous than being shot at.

Tell that to the two firefighter killed by gun nuts this morning. Tell that to the families of the more than 100 people killed by guns in just the time since the Sandy Hill slaughter of children and adults.

 Oh cuz whatever someone posts on the internet changes the facts of the matter? NBC doesn't have to be "run by the government" for it to be an official news AGENCY which operates under FCC regulations as such. Do you really think the NBC legal team is worried about this serious blogosphere issue..?

The blogosphere did not pass a law, DC did. Its a violation and a pretty serious one as it was viewed by millions. Yes, NBC's legal team is probably very worried about it and so is the news division, as it paints Gregory in a bad light by his own hand.

He should issue an apology and if the problems persist, step doen from his position. The left would expect nothing less of someone at FOX.

I seriously doubt they are worried at all as they were fully aware of the law and proceeded to use it on the news broadcast anyway. As I said, these companies have legal teams who cut through these issues like butter all day long. I really think it's much ado about nothing, contrived controversy created by the blogosphere and nothing else will come of it. We shall see!

NBC cut your losses now!

Freedom of the Press doesn't allow for laws to be broken.
