NANJING, CHINA September 24, 2007 Ford Motor Company's China joint venture, Changan Ford Mazda Automobile (CFMA), today officially launched operations at its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Nanjing, China, where it will produce the latest small-car models for both the Ford and Mazda brands. The US$510 million flexible and scalable facility has an initial capacity of 160,000 vehicles per year, boosting Ford's total annual passenger car capacity in China to more than 410,000 vehicles.

But contrary to what the might ad suggest, the spot was actually filmed in New Orleans and Los Angeles. Yes, part of it was filmed in New Orleans . . . and some was filmed in various partssuch as Los Angeles, Dianna Gutierrez said. She specifically points to the tunnel scenes as being taken at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, while the stadium shots were in New Orleans.
Asked whether any part of the ad was filmed in Detroit, Gutierrez said that previously taken footage from various parts of the Motor City was used.
No image of Detroit was shot for the specific use in this ad.

First of all, Ford didn't take any bailout money....GM & Chrysler did, THEN opened plants in China!
It's pretty confusing to me that the left will see nothing wrong with an automobile mfr opening plants in China, but scream about the other big corporations taking our jobs there!!! Unbelievable!!!
