Dems favor abortion over child sex slaves

The GOP is telling victims who became pregnant through abuse that they cannot obtain abortions funded by fines from sexual predators. The GOP remains mired in forced birthing. This is not a hill worth dying over, but the GOP is powerless to stop itself from crazy ass forced birthing shite.

And unless you dems can have train loads of people being transported to their infants death facilities you don't give a shit how they got pregnant. As long as the blood is flowing you're happy right?

I'm not a dem, but if a girl is raped and impregnated, and she wants an abortion and tax money isn't paying for it, it's fine by me. And, I don't see what biz of yours it is.

In that case pass the bill as is. Since that is what it says.

Why didn't you title this thread "Republicans Favor Child Sex Slaves over Abortion?"

Because it is the Democrats who have suddenly decided to block a bill that had enjoyed strong bipartisan support. They "discovered" that the bill includes--heaven forbid--a provision that merely includes the standard Hyde Amendment language about prohibiting federal funds from being used to pay for abortions:

The provision is essentially an expansion of the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funds from being used for abortions and is routinely included in spending bills. Provisions similar to the Hyde Amendment are included in other types of programs, such as the State Children’s Health Insurance Program...Republicans were aghast that Democrats were sticking to their insistence that their aides had not read the bill...Indeed, Democrats appeared to have ample chances to spot the language. For example, the abortion language is on pages 4 and 5 of the bill. But when it came up in committee, the top Democrat, Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy, offered an unrelated amendment on the same page — apparently not noticing the abortion provisions. The bill was approved unanimously by the judiciary panel. And on Monday, a full two weeks later with still no ire over the abortion language, Democrats agreed to move ahead.

No it does not say that. The gop position is that fines from perps may not be used to fund abortions for victims. Take your Todd Akin bs and shove it.

Let the Democrats sneak a couple of things into the bill. Then let's see how republicans feel about passing it.

Sorry that you were a sex slave little girl, meaning that you were being raped day in and day out, but you have keep the rapist's baby because we are Pro-Life, just not yours.

Well, the gop didn't up front say what the bill said, but then again the dems' have to blame their staffers for not vetting the bill. Still, telling rape victims they can't get abortions with fine money is not exactly a message you want to run on in 2016.

Like a nuke in the ME conservative style...

Repubs aren't blocking the bill that's why.
Republicans tried to sneak their own partisan agenda into a slam dunk of a bill. They shouldn't be surprised it pisses people off.

Nonsense. Sheesh, the Hyde language is on pages 4 and 5 of the bill, and Hyde language is routinely included in a number of recurring pieces of legislation.

So what the Democrats are saying is that if a human-trafficked girl is pregnant, they want the federal government to pay to have her baby killed, that that's more important than trying to stop human trafficking.

If this were the 1850s, you guys would be defending slavery as a matter of "choice."

Be honest mike. A fine paid by a perp is not the same as your hard earned tax money.

Sorry, all you girls who might otherwise be rescued, but the Democrats have decided that unless the federal government is allowed to pay for any abortions that some of you might want, they're going to keep blocking the human trafficking bill.

Good. It's a package deal. If they really care they would pass a clean bill.

You're choosing to be disingenuous in comparing criminal fines to taxes, and it shows your true agenda. Forced birthing.
