Democrats To Present Another Bill To Give Americans Transparency

destroy it from the inside out, and turn the nation into a 3rd world hell hole,

kinda like what a lot of Democrats are trying to do here in California....and THESE Democrats still get voted in time and time again...El Centro may have already fallen......

California is one of the most desirable states to live in, in the US. They posted I want to say the 2nd best state for job creation last year.

If you want to see what a right wing utopia in america looks like, tax a look at mississippi. That place is pretty much a 3rd world hell hole.

from the 60's into the 90's i wont argue that.....but not anymore....many who have lived and worked here all their lives cannot afford to retire here....and that is pretty fucking sad.....i deliver mail and have seen business complexes that in the 90's were full and thriving.....now the places are either empty or have a lot of vacancies.....and were i deliver is supposed to still have a decent economy......many of those companies have moved out of State because they cant afford to do business here.....California aint what it was at one time.....

Nothing is like it use to be in the 90's because of W and the GOP destroying america and it's thriving small businesses.

Though being a union postal worker, you'll have nothing to worry about. I have a friend that is one as well and was fairly shocked when he told me how much he is paid, not to mention a dynamite retirement plan.

If you haven't already, thank a democrat!

Hardly. The most wealthy, well educated and prosperous states are almost all bright blue, where the most uneducated and poor are bright red.

That really tells you something,...

Reasons they are leaving from your article, Harry:

Government restrictions on development. Policies have artificially limited housing supply and put a premium on real estate in coastal regions, the piece argues. "Basically, if you don't own a piece of Facebook or Google and you haven't robbed a bank and don't have rich parents, then your chances of being able to buy a house or raise a family in the Bay Area or in most of coastal California is pretty weak," Kotkin says.

Jerry Brown's green focus. Kotkin blasts the governor's dream of green jobs replacing all "tangible jobs" that the state has been losing in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing, warehousing and construction. "Green energy doesn't create enough energy!" he says. "And it drives up the price of energy, which then drives out other things." He later adds, "You see the great tragedy of California is that we have all this oil and gas, we won't use it. We have the richest farm land in the world, and we're trying to strangle it."

Taxes. The piece cites that California has the 48th-worst business tax climate according to the Tax Foundation. Middle-class workers pay a higher income tax percentage than what millionaires pay in 47 states. Kotkin believes that the governor's November ballot initiative to raise taxes even more for "millionaires" (those who make more than $250,000 a year) is going to hit "small business owners and the young family that's trying to accumulate enough to raise a family" because in many parts of California, $250k isn't all that much

I wouldn't count on that retirement if I worked at the USPS.

Facing Bankruptcy, US Postal Service Plans Unprecedented Cuts To First Class Mail

WASHINGTON (AP) — Unprecedented cuts by the cash-strapped U.S. Postal Service will slow first-class delivery next spring and, for the first time in 40 years, eliminate the chance for stamped letters to arrive the next day.

The consolidation of mail processing centers is in addition to the planned closing of about 3,700 local post offices. In all, roughly 100,000 postal employees could be cut as a result of the various closures, resulting in savings of up to $6.5 billion a year.

How in the hell is taking one of the best economies this nation has ever seen, the largest budget surplus, then completely destroying the nation creating the biggest deficit, horrific economy, and losing 3/4 of a million jobs a month a good thing?

I swear you right wingers must be mentally ill.

Well you have to know context dumbass. First we had the dot com bubble burst, you know when all those high flying silicon valley stocks burst like the housing market did in 2008. Then 9/11 happened, which hurt our economy pretty bad, we almost had an extinct airlines industry and then we had a couple of wars, but hey our economy was always under 8% unemployment and the deficit never got to as high as under Obama. Obama has only had a full term as President and has sucked badly

The right wing parrot excuse "Clinton was only good because of dot com!" That has got to be to most used piece of BS propaganda in the world of politics. Dot com continued to soar under W and still to this day. If that was true, W would have continued the path Clinton created and we would be debt free by now.

Clinton got america to some of it's best times in history simply from strong progressive fiscal policies.

Fair tax rates

Controlled spending

Emphasis on the real job creators, small business

And promoting a strong middle class

W went right back to the epically failed "give everything to the rich" GOP fiscal plans and the nation went straight into the toilet.

Market Crashes: The Dotcom Crash

Where: Silicon Valley (for the most part)

Percentage Lost From Peak to Bottom: The Nasdaq Composite lost 78% of its value as it fell from 5046.86 to 1114.11.

And, the NASDAQ closed today at 2925.30 so you are obviously not very well informed.

Clinton took a play from the Reagan playbook in 1995 and called the Republican leadership to his office several times after the government shutdown to work out their differences on balancing the budget. Apparently, it worked.

Obama would rather play politics and call names than negotiate anything.

BTW, Bush had 6 years of a good economy, considering the bad hand he was dealt. Then along came a Democrat controlled House and Senate in 2007 and everything went south.
