Now Chicago faces yet ANOTHER problem. It's BROKE. And the state is not looking to bail them out. The mayor of Chicago proposed a NEW tax on STATE citizens that highly benefited residents OF Chicago but put the meat to the majority of citizens in the state.

So you have this modern day democrat "heaven" awash in crime and failing schools and topping the lists of things like un-employment and food stamps or drug use. Thank God democrats do not run a nation huh? Would that place be screwed up.

Chicago is the result of democrats ideas and actions. And they have regulated and mandated and taxed to what we see now. The fourth largest city in the United States reduced to a horrid nightmare a mere fossil of what was. Decades of investment wasted on programs that did NOTHING to build a future be it person or area.

Chicago IS the test result of democrat rule and the result is FAILURE.

Funny thing is I don't exactly understand how building infrastructure, expanding funding for science, r&d and education = economic trouble? I look at Africa, Middle east and Asia and I find that it does quite the opposite.

This has more to do with a bunch of lazy people not being well educated enough to pay their taxes to fund those things...Ontop of the fact that most of the private sector also won't move into these areas to give them a job.

I live 30 mls from Chicago, and they are in deep doo unless the new republican governor bails them out; which he won't! Just like most large cities, they have been run by democrats for decades; and they fail. It is a microcosm of the same thing they want to do to the United States as a whole. Same ideas, same failures, same pointing the finger everywhere but at themselves and the choices they made.

And for you libs, let me state for your personal information, that New York will be coming soon. You see, the NYSE is threatening to move out, and if that happens, New York will collapse faster than Detroit. You like to fleece the golden geese? Chicago residents pay and pay and pay their taxes, and fines and fees...and they get nothing in return......now they are billions in debt because the politicians spent all the money, taxed some more, spent that, taxed again, spent that.......and now they are billions in debt.......so sell that to someone who doesn't know what happened.....
