Traditionally, I don't think the democrats are any more prone to corruption than Republicans. The vast power of government makes people in general greedy.

But we have a few things currently that exasperate the issue.

First is the arrogance of democrats. They view their rule as ordained, they see third world voters as a guarantee of power, as long as they keep the borders open and stifle attempts for honest elections, power is assured to them.

Second is the purging of ethics. Under Bill Clinton, the party took a sinister turn, an open hostility to any and all ethical concerns. Right and wrong are only that which serves or harms the party. Yee selling guns to terrorists isn't wrong, him getting caught and embarrassing the party is wrong.

Third is the open corruption of the Obama administration. The U.S. Attorney General is an open crook. A criminal in the highest law enforcement position in the land. The law is a farce and the party looks on the law with utter contempt.

Add these together, and the corruption we see now is to be expected.
