I read the article. It in no way is indicative of a movement in any way comparable to the movement going on now.

Half a million people in the streets of New York, millions more around the world... and it isn't comparable to 70,000 people in DC?

Uh...war policy affects more than just the country declaring the war and the country being fought against. Foreign policy and war policy...we sneeze, and the rest of the world gets a cold.

And I believe there were a lot more "Tea Parties" today as well, to add to the whatever number it was in DC.

They don't compare, nor did the movement grow. It remained static. The majority of Americans intially supported the war. And even then, there was no organized "anti-war" movement of any substantial proportion.

And Bush was re-elected.

Well, I kept posting that their article said "tens of thousands" but to Eagleseven and others that translate to 2 million.

Alinsky indicates that you should care. However, when park polic comes out with an estimate, you can gloat or suck it up. Until then, cheap talk is all you have. It's all anyone has. Yet you focus on it. What a fucking tool.

I don't believe the Park Police come out with estimates anymore.

As I already said, they don't. An independent study through remote sensing is what we do know for official counts in the District. That has not been published.
