I used to watch racing but lost interest years ago. I watched some of the undercard races over the weekend and was shocked at the changes to the rules.
The biggest change is that every single race is now broken up into three segments. That format made what can often be a boring race for the first 2/3rds pretty damn exciting as drivers are now incentivized to race for the win 3 different times during one race. It also created a ton of edge of your seat action with plenty of crashes to boot.
