Abroad, an Iranian nuclear scientist is killed in a suspicious bomb blast. Responding to accusations that the United States was behind the killing, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declares “we had nothing to do with it,” adding that if any more Iranian nuclear scientists are killed, “we will have had nothing to do with that, either.”

He missed what is perhaps the funniest story of the year.

In December, the San Francisco City Council, admitting that the ordinance passed in 2011 requiring naked people to use a towel between their bare asses and public seating was ineffective, passed an ordinance banning public nudity which caused hundreds of people to take the streets naked.
