Cuomo interviews Lavar Ball - Insanity

Can't blame a person for taking advantage of a culture that values shallowness and empty celebrity like we do.
Hello what do you think explains the WWF reality TV Orange weirdo in the White House ...took advantage of the Rubes

Yes, that's a part of it.

Not everything is political, believe it or not. My comment was on the culture.

something that could be so easily desputed by China would be a stretch.

Trivial? Easily refuted? Donald Trump asserted that after 9/11, he owned the tallest building in NYC. [1] One need not even solicit a foreign power that isn't particularly given to full disclosure to find that is not the truth, and that is surely less trivial than the release of three Americans from Chinese forced sequester.

Why would China say anything about it? From their point, regardless of what the facts are, it either is too trivial for them to comment on, or they go what they wanted from the exchange and no value accrues to them by disputing Trump.

Note:
  1. Tell me how it is that a NYC real estate mogul at Trump's level of the "game," does not know whether he owns or doesn't own the tallest building in NYC. Such a person most certainly would know just as the woman with the biggest boobs in porn knows she's the owner of said boobs, or as the maker of the biggest truck or boat in the world knows they are the maker of such vehicles. Do you really think Bugatti didn't know what superlatives their Veyron didn't hold? Do baseball players not know what their ranking is as goes hits, home runs, at bats, etc? Quite simply, every holder of an objectively measured superlative knows they hold that "title."

What Trump likely also knew (knows) is that most people, even New Yorkers, probably have/had no idea what building, after the WTC buildings fell, was the tallest in NYC, and he played on their ignorance to make his claim. that he owned the tallest building in NYC after the WTC fell. I see no reason to think that as goes the matter of the boys whom China sequestered in their hotel room, Trump is again relying on people's ignorance and the unlikelihood that China will even remark upon the matter.

Correction:
The statement above should have read, "....Trump is not again relying on..."

I tried, couldn't do it. Reminds me of the people in my neighborhood when they argue with the cops. What I find amazing is how people that know absolutely nothing act like they know it all. I love the part where he was confused why the media was focusing on his son instead of the other two players. He didn't even realize he's the reason.
Yes it is painful but its the end when the bottom really falls out. It is interesting though if you cut through all the child talk and listen to what he is really saying. He said the boys were never in Jail, they were being held in a hotel room and he was in talks with people that were securing their release and trip home, so he doesn't know what exactly Trump did and therefore doesn't see a reason to thank him. If that is true then it makes Trumps reaction to the situation very interesting.

Isn't hard to understand why Jr Ball was in trouble, Papa Ball is an asshole.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I was difficult to watch, some asshole thinking he's clever and funny not realizing anyone with a lick of sense knows he's an asshole.
I don't think he was being an asshole, he was "staying in his lane" as he says... He was definitely playing it up for the cameras but didn't say anything bad about Trump or anybody else.

The interview was painful to watch when it aired "live".

Ball is a beetle-browed, low-IQ type who couldn't serve-up a coherent thought or string two coherent sentences together if his life depended on it.

Friggin' Neanderthal.
Yet there is a hidden logic behind what he says... Like I said, he and Trump are brothers from another mother. Gutfield actually acknowledged exactly that on the Five yesterday.

Reminded me of the ghetto talk I see when our outreach feeds.

Am I tripping or is this not the craziest interview that’s you’ve seen lately? I bet Trump is loving this guy, they are both cut from the same cloth!

I dare you to watch the whole thing

Ball makes Trump appear sane

The media should be penalized for giving this guy attention

Uhh, who gave this guy attention? Why do you think the media is talking to him? That was all Trump

Huh? What are you talking about?

I doubt the government would have held prisoners in a hotel room for very long. Perhaps they were testing the waters to see what the US reaction (not just Trump) would be. I'm sure they know enough about our country to understand the control the media has over the minds of our people.

When this happened I created a topic on the situation and compared that to the vet that spent over 200 days in a Mexican prison that DumBama did very little about. In fact if not for Bill O'Reilly, that guy might still be sitting there. But the point is that Mexico is a lot closer to the US than China (not just by distance either) so they would be more willing to let one of our people go than China. I believe those punks were in big trouble if not for Trump's intervention.

What makes you believe that they were in big trouble. Are you just making assumptions or do you have anything of substance to go off of?

yeah but he has Trump's Tweeter attention like he was a world leader.... Trump is a Fucking Moron...Lavarr is doing guerrilla marketing using the Orange Goon LOL
I'm no fan of The Creature, but Ball performed badly - embarassingly badly - in his interview with Cuomo... so I'm not seeing a positive take-away for Ball in any of this.

Here is one. We are talking about him right now. Trumpsters are hating on him which will automatically make him a hero for the Anti-Trumpers. That will increase his brand, exposure, and name recognition by an extraordinary measure. Trust me, this was a huge NET positive for Ball.

If the arrest holds up and the UCLA trio is convicted, Ball, Hill and Riley could face harsh punishment in a country that is renown for its zero tolerance penal code. Shoplifting in China carries a minimum sentence of three years in prison and a maximum sentence of a decade, according to the Criminal Law of the People’s Republic of China.

While immediate details were scarce, such as what was allegedly stolen, criminal penalties for theft in China are among the strictest in the world.

If a weapon was used or if anyone was hurt, LiAngelo and/or his teammates could also face the death penalty, according to Chapter V of “The Crime of Encroaching on Property” portion of the criminal code.

‘Big Baller’ LiAngelo Ball Could Have Gotten Big Prison Time For Shoplifting In China

Yes, I would say that it was big trouble. Unless found not-guilty, they would have spent a minimum of three years in a Chinese prison. Why do you suppose we spend tens of billions of dollars every year on theft in this country and a place like China spends very little? Imagine how much cheaper products in our stores would be if we adopted those same laws!
