The middle east has been constantly at war for over 3000 years.
There is no way it can be stopped with outside influence. I can't see how it could be stopped at all.
They will continue to fight as long as there is more than one sect of there religion or more than one person interpreting the religion.
The middle east and theVietnam/Cambodia areas are very similar in this aspect but one is tied to religion and the other is tied to land and land use.
The rest of the world would be better off if we just fenced them off and let them fight it out at home.
