Crazy MA Anti-Gun Legislation, Did it pass or fail?

yea there is no violence in ireland :cuckoo:

you idiots use bombs instead

You are thinking of Northern Ireland, which is part of Great Britain. If you do not want to look like such an idiot, you should at least know your countries.

um, dipshit, you said you lived in ireland, you didn't say where. and you should really know what you're talking about too mr wild west gun america :cuckoo: besides, all you micks are a like anyway

Ireland is a country, Northern Ireland is part of the UK. I am not a Mick, and if you are going to insult someone, use proper English and spelling. Your ignorance flows.

Which is part of why people like ME will not even consider traveling to Europe or the UK.

if we could get people like you to leave HERE it would be a better place.

I left HERE and the likes of you long ago. If you had a shred of intelligence, you would know that from my posts. You are obviously just full of it, like many others on these boards, you like to hear your self speak, it gives you security. My brother in law, who keeps up on all of the gun laws for his hunting club, told be last night that no new permits are being given out, an a member of the Olympic pistol team was refused one.

You know I have to laugh at people like you. You can't even spell correctly and you expect me take you seriously when you state "if you had a shred of intelligence" then proceed to attack my veracity and knowledge. Here's a lesson for you buster, I could care less what you think of me....you don't matter one iota and your so called intellectual superiority is very much in doubt.

You are the one flapping your gums with no knowledge of what you speak. And I proved it.
Now feel free to sit in front of the tube and jerk yourself off.

I meant 'your ignorance flows', like a never ending river. Too lyrical for you to perceive.

According to my research, two years ago they passed a strict law in Ireland prohibiting the ownership of handguns. The Irish Olympic Pistol Team were denied permits and brought a lawsuit challenging the law. The lawsuit has not been resolved, but the team were given temporary permits until the suit is settled. Some members of shooting clubs were given special dispensation also.

You should have a bit of knowledge yourself before making such assertions.

I do not watch television, and I have a beautiful, young wife who fulfills my sexual needs. I guess you figure that everyone else acts the same as you.

I will try to be less lyrical in the future. LOL Have a good Friday night, whatever lies ahead of you.

The ONLY thing I said was that Military Grade weapons should have stricter policies associated with them. One of those policies that I would be extremely cool with is a Ballistics database. Let's suppose you have an AK. Someone breaks into your house, finds the combination to your gun safe that you had written on a piece of paper somewhere, steals your arsenal, grinds the serial number off of it and commits a violent crime with that weapon. You did your duty and reported this weapon stolen... Now there's an avenue for you to retrieve your property, the ballistics database would also prove beyond any doubt that the projectile that ended the life of another came from that weapon.
Why are you limiting the ballistics database suggestion to AK or other "military-style" weapons? Don't you know there are many ordinary sporter-type firearms which are no less lethal than most military-style weapons, some even moreso?

There is no question that a ballistics database is a good idea from a law-enforcement perspective. But I believe the only reason it's never been implemented is its impracticality in view of the projected cost and magnitude of the task. It would be impossible without imposing extreme police-state methods.

I believe the second amendment is sacrosanct. I also believe, as has Kansas in the abortion debate, the states right to restrict gun owners in some manner.

For example, all gun owners must have a gun safe at least 20 feet deep, 10 feet wide and 10 feet high, said safe to be contained in a room seperate from the rest of the home, apartment, condo, etc protected by a steel door with exterior locks including one of combination numbers not less than six and a key. Any windows will be screened with bars and bolted from the inside to prevent entry or exit. No closets, beds, dressers or desks are permitted in said room as well as any secret hiding place or book, jacket, shoe, etc where weapons, ammo or other items might be hidden.

The AG of the state has the right to add other restrictions as s/he sees fit at any time. Failure to comply with any restriction imposed by the DOJ will include a fine and period of incarceration.

Fair and balanced, don't ya think?

Fuck you and a gun safe.

Gun Control.... I have mixed emotions about it. First off... I don't think anyone needs an AK or an M14. Those are military class weapons and I am fine with regulation(not bans) on those types of weapons.

Handguns... I am a little more liberal with. I think that anyone has the right to defend themselves. I don't agree with the 30 round clips that were used in the Gabby Gifford shooting... that goes way beyond self defense. Furthermore... handguns are a poor tool for home defense. Unless you are a skilled shooter and a pretty cool customer, you are more likely to miss... which in one sense is probably OK as it will scare the piss out of most would be home invaders. On the other hand, if you meet up with a true scumbag... you are more than likely going to pay for your shitty shooting.

The best home defense tool is a shotgun. It's a "point and shoot" device. A good compromise between the two is a Taurus Judge. Which can shoot .410 shotgun shells and/or .45 Colt rounds. But if you have any experience with the .410... it would be a close range option only.

Anyway... the point is that there is no real reason for people to go Rambo with their arsenals. Anything you can buy in a department store is plenty of firepower. Because, let's face it... If you were ever to go against the military... you are fucked.... so that's really a non-issue. Even if you owned an AK with the firing pin fixed to allow full auto.... you're still fucked.

With this kind of thinking you shouldn't be able to buy more car than you need, have more house than you need or make more money than you need. We don't live in a country where the government decides what you need. You should be able to decide what you need and as long as you use it legally it's nobody's business but your own.

^^ that is called liberty good sir!
yes it is something the liberals dont understand
while they are quick to tell you what you *NEED * like in health care for example they carefully word it so they and thier cronies are exempt

dont trust the liberals *beware of greeks * carrying gifts

Most people need the right to travel. Very few people need to purchase a firearm.

All this socialist talk about the NEED to purchase a gun
lets do it the socialist way and tell folks what they NEED
tell us when we NEED to own a gun and how big it can be
tell us how big a house we NEED
better still tell us how many kids we NEED( can have ) and steralize those who reach the limit

not a nice idea is it mr liberal ?

thats the frightening thought we face should we give the govt power to rule our private lives and tell us WHAT WE WANT
total control of the many by the few

Sure. I think all government workers should be required to pay for all of their medical and retirement programs. No taxpayer money at all. I think all public workers must work 40 hour workweeks but may only work overtime shifts in cases of emergency. I also believe they should not be allowed to double dip the taxpayers. Also they should be able to be fired for cause with ease. If they are caught commiting a crime they are placed on unpaid leave and upon conviction they lose all accrued benefits, all pensions, and of course spend a mandatory term in prison.

Any public employee or official found guilty of corruption is mandatorily sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.

How's that for fair and balanced?:lol::lol:

"Fuck" me? LOL, read slowly moron; the post which so upset you was meant to show the ridiculous restrictions placed on abortion providers by the State of Kansas. Abortion is legal in our country, so is the right to bear arms, though both are restricted in some manner. If Kansas gets away with such tactics, soon states where gun control is popular will use the same methods to restrict gun ownership.

Those who wish to restrict the rights of others need to think; sadly you and the othere moron who thanked you for the "fuck" me reacted with emotion, not reason. Of course that's a chronic situation in your case.

This illustrates well why those opposed to firearm restrictions as with the example above should be also opposed to equally restrictive provisions with regard to privacy/abortion rights.

To believe otherwise would be constitutionally inconsistent.

What would the Founding Fathers do? In their day, every gun fired a single shot, was muzzle loaded and hand crafted. Maybe it's time to go back to the Founding Father's ideas when they wrote the second amendment. Because if they ever saw an AK-47 or an Uzi ravish a dwelling during a drive by shooting, I'm pretty certain they would have re-thought gun control.

I agree, they probably would have been incredibly concerned about the Military and Police having restricted access to potentially destructive automatic weapons which they could use on the civilians. That's why they made the Second Amendment very clear in it's affirmation of the individual right to bear arms.

A fine example of a person who should not own a gun.

While I am a gun supporter, I think it's kind of fucked up and scary that you equate guns with kids.

Wry is just trying to be cute and connect the gun debate to Kansas's imposing regulations on abortion clinics that supporters see as grossly unfair.
