Could Trump Be Doing Irreversable Damage To The GOP?

As for the future--I believe the Republican party after this election will be reduced to an all white, mostly male, angry ignorant focus group. Moderate Republicans will be forced to vote for blue dog Democrats as it was in the 30's 40's 50's.

Republican's just can't seem to get it together. They're great at division, & somewhere between 2008 and now, they forgot how to add, which makes them perfect targets for election loss's all the way down the ballot.

Yes, I can see Dick Cheney, Carl Rove and Rupert Murdoch all sitting in a room filled with empty seats covered in cobwebs, trying to reinvent mathematics so "this time our horrible candidate can win!" ..."by golly!"..

Trump isn't going to win. He is going to go down in an historic defeat. Not only will Republicans lose the White House they will lose the Senate, a ton of seats in the house and down ballot races all across this country.

According to the above linked article, this is what election night will look similar too. I am thinking it may be even worse.

Furthermore the Republican party is the minority party in this country at around 41 million, Democrats are stronger at 46 million, and Independents making up for the largest block, representing about 40% of the electorate. After this election the only party that will be shrinking again will be the Republican party. And all of the above names you just mentioned would never represent this party of extremism and division. This is not the party they have represented in the past, they wouldn't even show up at the RNC Convention. This is NOT the party of Lincoln or Reagan. Your leaders would be Rush Limbaugh, Shawn Hannity, Ann Colter, Sarah Palin, etc.-they would be your party leaders.

If they are going to have to rely on Paul Ryan and Pence to save the party in the future, then they truly are screwed.

It was pretty much a given that Obama/Clinton would run 1/2. That gives the democrats eighteen years if they win.

They have no shinning stars lining up to follow.

Obama was a gift (depending on how you look at it). He wasn't seasoned. He was just the right guy (for the democrats...he is a disaster as a POTUS) at the right time for the circumstances.

Once Hillary shoots her wad, there is nobody.

Ryan is one of the establishment RINOs who is destroying this party. That's why he is hanging on for dear life in his primary campaign.

Ryan is not a RINO, dumbass. He's a thousand times closer to what the GOP stands for than Trump. Ryan's biggest problem is that he lets people push him around. My respect level for him would skyrocket if he recanted on his endorsement of Trump.

The republicans have always been a coalition. Can you be any more stupid ?

Perhaps you are in complete denial about what is happening with the Trump movement. It has nothing to do with establishment GOP. It has everything to do with taking power away from misguided subversive Liberals like Obama and his dim bulb stooge Hillary.

How will that happen with tepid support at best from the party regulars in Congress?
