Could the democrats lose another seat today?

So why aren't the rightwing nuts around here explaining to us how HUGE this Democratic win in Arizona is, the way they went on and on and on about Wisconsin?

Had a republican won I'm sure we would have. Having said that I never even knew there was an election till this mornings reports. Muchado about nothing now eh? We can't win them all.

Yes, Gifford's former "aide" won... because of a "loyalty" vote for Giffords, no doubt, but in November has to run again, and let us hope the voters vote for someone with experience...

Barber has more experience that his opponent.

Because it isnt a huge win. It was already a democrat seat

A seat held by a Democrat, but in a district with a significant Republican registration advantage and that Bush carried both times (McCain carried it as well, but didn't think it was fair to use that one due to native son effect).

There are more Liberal Dems in Tucson than the rest of the district. Guess where a lot of those Libs came from? Calif.because they could not afford to live in CA any more. Yet they still bring their Liberal politics with them. Talk about not using their noggins. :cuckoo:
Bush and McCain was the whole state, not one district.

Giffords has a huge sympathy factor. It might hold out to November. Depends on how Barber proceeds. If he keeps his head down and votes moderate, he well could retain the seat in November. If he joins the Obama radicals, he'll be voted out.

They both carried the entire state as well, but you do realize we can examine results at the district level as well, right?

no kidding, they're like roaches, stay in that state and dont ruin another one. But I thought liberals LOVED to pay taxes....oh wait they dont, they like to force other to.

Obama represents the radical, fringe left of the party.

LOL!!!!

:clap2:

actually I think he's in the middle of the party, which shows you how far left it is. Nancy Pelosi as Speaker, *cough* commie *cough*

You're right, he is in the middle, maybe even a little to the right of the center of the party. Certainly no radical on the far left. Only a fringe right winger would think such a thing.

No he is very far left, the whole democrat party is. Where are they in the center on anything?

True. If he was truly a Leftist, like myself, he would have pressed for Single-Payer HC.

As to the OP- that Jesse character was a real rightie fringer. :clap2:

Ex-aide Ron Barber wins Gabrielle Giffords’s Arizona seat in Congress

Democrat Ron Barber, a former aide to Gabrielle Giffords who was injured in the shooting that nearly took the ex-Arizona congresswoman’s life, won the special election to replace her on Tuesday.

Giffords joined victory celebrations in Tucson Tuesday night and hugged and kissed Barber in the forehead. “Life takes unexpected turns and here we are, thanks to you,” the Assocaited Press quoted Barber as telling his supporters.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Barber won about 52 percent of the vote while his Republican rival, Jesse Kelly, received 46 percent, according to the AP. Charlie Manolakis, the Green Party candidate, came a distant third.

This means that Barack Obama automatically becomes President for life and it also serves as undeniable proof that Republicans have itchy butts and shit smelling fingers.

Is that what it means? Perhaps it means that to pea brains.

Even with zero chance of pushing it through?'

Obama is radical left - fringe left. Pragmatism is something even the fringe can't escape, though.

1) Healthcare
2) War overseas
3) Bush Tax Cuts

Need more?

The left turned it into that.
Tea means Taxed Enough Already.

No, it was started by the protesters themselves standing in the front of the White House claiming they were going to teabag it.

Don't believe you. Gotta link or any proof?

Nope. As a lesbian, I'm not a big fan of the balls...

Katherine Heigl Hates Balls - YouTube

Without balls you wouldn't be here.

So you like balls? I don't. Am I a lesbian?

Dick tuck you must have really got dick fucked hard last night.

How in the hell did you sift that comment from what I said?
Seawitch may hate balls but without them she would never be alive today. Even you ass hat you wouldn't be here nor any human.

So, it's a push.

By the way, I've forgotten which Republican or conservative was responsible for getting the shooter all lathered up enough to do what he did?

None. This guy was a ticking bomb waiting to go off.

Of course, conservatives did make it easy for him to walk into a store and be able to buy a gun despite the fact he was batshit crazy.

We don't need no background checks.

What background check would have shown that he was crazy? He was never in an institution or had ever seen a psychiatrist.

You're just another typical leftwing moron whi will blame anything on Republicans.

You mean other than the police had an arrest record on him for running him off campus for being a nutbag?

Which would have come up if we did proper background checks.
